As Bowens said this one's tough (the good way!).

Gold - JRich...those 5 shots in a row gave us the separation and ended up being the difference.

Silver - Crash...Quiet for a lot of the game compared to usual, but took over in the 4th.

Bronze - Mek...he set the tone at the beginning of the game by finishing inside and getting their bigs in foul trouble. He worked more in trying to get the ball on offense too.

A bunch of HMs!!!

1) Felts...ran the 4th quarter very well while the Nets were using the full court press, and NO TOs in that stretch.

2) Nazr...an offensive juggernaut!!!!

3) Hammer...shot wasn't always going but he worked, pulled in a lot of rebounds.

4) Twigs even gets a mention...when he first came in there was no let up in the paint and kept the good things going.

We worked hard all game to feed the bigs, and it paid off. Mek & Nazr - 15 of 17 from the field. :o

Wow, just noticed Mek only had 6 rebounds and Nazr 7...yet we outrebounded the Nets by 6. That doesn't happen often.

This is the toughest game to pick hammers because everyone who played deserves one tonight....except for McMinus because I hate him.

3 - JRich - He gets the gold hammer simply because he set the tone early on and was on fire. Sort of had the Nets back pedaling from the start. Did get burned by RJ all night, but that is a really bad matchup. (and we didn't acquire him for defense  )

2 - Emeka - FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where ya been big boy??? Offensively you had the moves tonight and defensively you never let the Nets big man get on track. Good job Mek!

1 - Crash - He had a really good all around game. Everyone he guarded tonight had a poor game. He deserves the Gold hammer too, actually all 3 guys deserve the gold. And he didn't try to do too much on offense, letting Felton control the tempo. Great game by Crash.

HM Definitely Nazr. Great game by him all around. He deserves a hammer too.

Hollins was bopping around for a few minutes and looked good. Carroll made some nice shots too.

When I made the remark about Felton in the game thread, saying he disappeared, then like magic...all of a sudden he came alive and played VERY well. I was impressed with him tonight. Hopefully this is a springboard game where he regains his confidence because lord knows, we desperately need him to play well now. I thought that steady Ray in the second half was a nice calming influence which helped us to maintain our lead. Recently Ray has been a disaster and thats what has caused us too fall apart in these games. When that happens, Crash feels like he has to do everything, setting up the offense and scoring. We all know thats hit and miss. Sooo important for Ray to play well.

All around great game. It's nice when it all comes together and we make the other team look silly for once. Vince was a no show which helped. But our defense played him well tonight. Kidd with his third triple double in row! Wow! But he was throwing up bricks all night long which helped us tremendously. Sean Williams was in foul trouble so he never got going and that helped out Mek and Nazr who both controlled the paint on offense and defense.

Great win!

Now the schedule REALLY starts to get tough. :uhoh:

After this great game where we gained a lot of confidence, the one team in the league that we don't want to play tomorrow night is Boston. Well what do you know, we play Boston!

Just our luck. :x

man... i dont even know where to begin handing out hammers for this game. TOUGH!

3 - richardson - that was an amazing stretch of ball in the first half

2 - wallace - all around solid game... minus the to's

1 - felton - really handled the traps and full court press in the second half.

hm - okafor/nazr - both were excellent in the post
hm2 - that nasty zone defense
hm3 - carroll - for keeping mcminus firmly planted on the bench where he belongs

Not sure if it's too late to post but it's hard to just give 3 game balls here...
