Question from Sacramento

Post#1 » by Bac2Basics » Mon Jan 14, 2008 12:31 am

I think a signifcant portion of Kings fans would love to get Okafor.

I think anyone besides Kevin Martin & Spencer Hawes would be available as part of the trade from the Kings end.

Is there potential for a deal there?

I wouldn't say that it's totally out of the question that Hawes might be part of the deal, but I think that Petrie views him as their center of the future so I think it would be pretty unlikely.

I don't think our 1st round pick would be likely available either, possible but unlikely

Ok now that you've pretty much narrowed down our choices on what is available, how about Mikki Moore and a second rounder in 2012 for Okafor?

bac2basics... why dont you tell us what you had in mind, since you pretty much elimnated trading us the 3 most attractive (to the bobcats) trading chips you have.

i dont think you'll get okafor using a package of beno, salmons and garcia and i cant imagine we would have any interst in artest or bibby, much like i dont think they would welcome a trade here either.

Let me clarify, our '08 1st is probably off limits but we could do a future first as a possibility.

If we trade Okafor, we need back preferably a PF. And we're not talking Kenny Thomas. We need someone like Sean Williams on the Nets. Also, other needs we have are a capable true point guard, not a stupid combo guard who doesn't understand how to run an offense. And we could definitely use another shooter to back up JRich and Crash because Carroll ain't getting the job done.

I actually think Bibby would be a good fit next to Jrich and Wallace. He is a shoot 1st PG but can run an offense at the same time. MJ is also a big Bibby fan. Problem is Bobcats should only take Bibby if they want to compete now and I dont see them in that space just yet.

I love these topics, where the guy wants a pretty good player and then eliminates anyone worthwhile....But still asks "Is there potential for a deal there?"

Why don't we as Bobcats fans ask Seattle fans if we can get Durant for a package of Morrison, Harrington, and McInnis?
