Who should we sign after we get tid of mouthbreathing Radio ASAP?
We could also let Bernie coach the team for a stretch.
Should we fire Radio, tank the season and prepare for the next one with a better coach (experienced one please)?

Larry Brown.
Since Vincent seems to have no problem ripping the players in the media I don't see how he could be much worse.
Only he brings credibility.

I don't think John Wooden could turn us into a winner without a pg on the roster.
Would love for the front office to address some of our roster issues. Vincent seems really bad, but I don't think firing him turns us into a playoff team as currently constructed.

Oh come on, we have an open 15th spot, a TERRIBLE PG and are unwilling to play Ray there, I guess because of leadership concerns.
We ought to play Ray there, but we don't. I guess this is entirely Vincent's fault.
Pardon my hyperbole.

Nah, couldn't be Vincent's fault. I mean, he's been right on everything else why wouldn't he be right on that as well?
Just found it "interesting" that you felt the need to take a shot at a player in a thread about getting a new coach.
Pardon me for being just a little tired of it.

Felton didn't play last night.
McInnis is terrible, but he's our best ball handler if Ray can't play...and he's still capable of dribbling the ball off of his foot.
We looked good against the Bulls and have played well in recent losses. For some reason, the FO refuses to make a move despite the glaring need for another ball handler (a term I will use now instead of pg)
Chill k?

I started this thread because I can't see future of this teram with Vincent as a head coach and that we should sooner or later sign someone else for this job. I neither know basketball coaches well or know who is avalaible (not under contract (I put aside who would be willing to sign with us - let say this is an ideal world ande everyone wants to coach Cats). I don't know what our font office will do, I just want to discuss what we should do to upgrade our coaching.
I didn't say with other coach right now everything will be ok, we can always do something with our roster (if it is not too late regardless). Try to focus on coaching stuff in this thread more, we could discuss Vincent's incompetence or missing pg in other threads - I have no problem with these topics in this thread just try to keep the original topic alive.
For me the situation looks like Vincent has been clueless, cost us some possible wins, cause a lot of misunderstanding and spoil some players (mostly Herrmann). I don't see any benefit in keeping him on the bench (except he is former Jordan buddy).

Any way we can get Jason Kidd without giving up Richardson/Wallace/Okafor?

Well, we did quite well without Felton and Mcinnis in one game (against Detroit I think). We can dare to play Wallace- Carroll/Dudley - Richardson - Oakfor - Mohammed for a stretch when Carroll or Dudley playing well. We can play our best five players on a given night. Better not whole game but... If Felton is available great. If not, we haven't to play with pg for 48 minutes.

Why not just "promote" either BB or elevate Lee Rose? Both of them are Bobcats employees.

Seriously though, why would we want Jason Kidd at all? He's ancient and isn't even very good anymore.
Obviously I agree that the roster is terribly flawed, but Vincent has done little to inspire confidence. But I don't know anything about coaches, so I have no recommendations.

Good thoughts, doc and Paydro. I am recently back from looking at the current E.C. standings. Surprisingly, the Bobcats are experiencing something of a revival in the standings! A LOT of other teams also have 17 wins(Chicago, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia), and we are only 2 games out of a playoff spot. Talk about good news, bad news! The good news is that a lot of other teams' seasons are now in reverse. The bad news is that I believe that the front office is not likely to make any changes, since we are mathematically so close. So Shiny Head is on course and logically can argue that he is moving in the right direction.
But are we buying this?!?

Super obvious choice(Because he's talking through my television as I type):Jeff Van Gundy has been a fantastic commentator for ESPN, is the best part of their commercials, and knows a GREAT deal about NBA defense. He's never inspired much confidence as an offensive mastermind. It'd be good for the SE Division, considering most of us already consider the Magic our rival--why not add another aspect to it?
I think Lee Rose's job is to provide strategy for our young coach, particularly on the offensive side of things. He's a much better overall coach than SV, but since he's on the staff I imagine there has to be some logical reason he's subservient to SV, but then again I've been called "the Bobcat homer" before, so maybe it's the rose tinted window I use to look through the FO.
Jeff Caple II. was a decent college coach, wouldn't want to give him the reins of an NBA club.
Lenny Wilkins? Herb Williams? Rudy Tomjanovic? Doug Collins? Randy Ayers? Jeff Bzdelik? M.L. Carr? Fred Carter? Rick Carlile? Bill Cartwright? Dwayne Casey? Michael Cooper? Dave Cowens? Mike Fratello? Leonard Hamilton? Del Harris? John Lucas? Lon Krueger? Bill Laimbeer? Mike Montgomery? Eric Mussleman? Kurt Rambis? Nolan Richardson? Scott Stiles? Terry Stotts? Paul Westphaul? Paul Westhead?
*gulp* Paul Silas??
*double gulp*Muggsey Bogues?
*doe eyes* Stephanie Ready!

The absolute obvious choice must be Stephanie Ready.
Less obvious choices that interest me are Fred Carter, Dave Cowens, Bill Laimbeer, and of course Jeff Van Gundy. All are knowledgable basketball minds who would be good for our team. Less obvious is their "MJ" connection, which seems to be a prerequisite to employment by the Bobcats.

Carlisle, Cowens, Fratello, Brown, Silas, Van Gundy... any of those guys get more out of this team than Sammy.
