Right now we have current players under contract for the next season (assuming we use our team option on JerMareo):

Felton
Richardson - Carroll
Wallace - Dudley, Morrison
Davidson - (May)
Mohammed

RFA: Okafor
expirings:
Boykins, McInnis, Anderson
Harrington(TO), Hollins
1st pick (probable lottery pick)
2nd pick (early second round)

So what should we do?

Putting aside what gems we could found in training camps etc. we are going ahead with these:

Felton - Boykins - pick
Richardson - Carroll, McWinnis/Anderson
Wallace - Dudley, Morrison
Okafor - Davidson, May
Mohammed - Hollins, pick

If the Okafor for Bargnani+Parker trade happens:

Felton - Boykins - 2nd pick
Richardson - Parker, Carroll
Wallace - Dudley, Morrison
Bargnani - Davidson, May
Mohammed - 1st pick, Hollins
- then we should reconsider Atlanta's offer for Carroll, he would be quite buried with Morrison, Richardson and defensive Parker on roster.

Then we should scrap our entire team and try this "building a team from the ground up" thing again, maybe we'll have learned from our previous mistakes this time around.

What we really need to do is re-sign Okafor, hopefully to a cheaper deal but I doubt it will get much cheaper (I'm hoping for around 10m/year), bring in a good PG that is good enough to legitimately push for the starting PG spot, and bring in a PF that is capable of guarding the quicker PFs of the league, which would allow Okafor/Mohammed to play center exclusively, outside of playing PF maybe a few minutes just to get them both enough PT.

Is there a source for this other than the locked Toronto thread where they pretty much decided the poster made the thing up?

I agree pretty much with what W_Hamilton said. The draft should net us one of those (agile PF or PG)...where the other comes from I'm kind of at a loss. One possibility is to draft someone like Augustin, sign Duhon or West for part of the MLE, retain McInnis for the vet minimum and package Felton (and Ammo/May) for a PF.

Any ideas on who that could be?

I doubt we keep Boykins as he's going after money this offseason. He's not a starter and I really hope management realizes you can't have a majority of the bench making 5-6 million per year.

This is pretty much what I'm hoping they do. PG and quick athletic PF.
