Adam Morrison

Post#1 » by pr0wler » Thu Feb 28, 2008 8:51 pm

Any news on this guy? Is he a write off or are you guys hoping he becomes a solid SF for the Bobcats?

I know he didn't have a great rookie campaign, but he did manage to put up 30 points in a single game. Anyone that can get hot like that and score in bunches shouldn't be thrown away. He still averaged around 12 PPG which is not that bad for a first year, and while his percentage is low no doubt that will get better also.

Assuming the injury doesn't limit what little mobility he has left, there is no doubt in my mind that he will turn it around and have a much stronger second season. If guys like Szczerbiak, Kapono, and Mike Miller can have nice careers there's no reason why Adam can't. Even compared to those guys he has a much better scorers touch in all areas around the court.

As far as I am concerned, he is completely awful and will never amount to anything.

I HOPE, however, as a Bobcats fan, that he can at least become a halfway-decent bench player for us. It's hard not to have a better second season, because his first season he was among the worst players in the NBA (Jeff McInnis style!).

Y'know I'll be really honest... I want Adam Morrison to do well so Steve will stick around. I don't know what this board would be without him.

PS - is there a new comic in the works?

He's going to be awesome. We'd hate to do it, but I guess we would trade him to you for Wilcox.

to be honest if Morrison was traded.

I would stick around. I've grown to love the whole team. I mean I bought 2 lower bowl tickets to see the Adam Morrison-less Bobcats this year in Orlando. Charlotte is my favorite team and I don't see why I wouldn't keep liking them.

I was just ZZZ over the fact that this is the 3rd Topic about Morrison and his expectations. Nothing against you pr0wler, i'm just saying it to say it.

I hope both Ammo and May come back healthy... We could have a very strong bench.

Here's some info on May but I did not see anything on Ammo..

I think he'll be alright. He needs to bulk up a bit but he looked really good in pre-season and we all know he can score. He was missing a lot of shots last year that he would never miss in college, even his FT shooting was down. It was definitely a confidence thing.
