clearing a roster space for Sam Cassell?
(bad luck he is to old, but he is kind of a leader we need, very vocal - not that I want us to sing him or don't want to, just suggesting possible move)

Shocking move.
Desperation, confusion, common sense... which one?
Wow didn't see this one coming.

wow. that is shocking. i wonder if jeff is going to try to hook up with a playoff team needing a 3rd pg or something, ala cassell (to a much lesser extent, of course). i cant imagine this was a result of some kind of clash.
so does this mean that boykins will start at pg with felton at shooting guard? i cant imagine they will let felton play pg all by himself.

happy about the move, but this organization is messed up. He starts and plays major minutes the last game, and now he is cut? This makes to organization look like it has no clue!

Fine by me.
Didn't like him, didn't hate him, just did little to nothing for me...

This news was just insane enough to pull me back.
I see it this way:
1) We are completely tanking, will run Boykins at the point, and Felton combo-guard or something. We will get killed.
2) We have decided to see if Felton can run the team (what team we have) for the remainder of the season. If he does well (given our current team), he's the PG. If not, he's traded or we draft another PG.
Honestly, there cant' be another reason, outside of McInnis totally pissing off Vincent.

Well, the only thing -- besides injuries -- that has been shown to give Felton more opportunities as our starting PG is cutting any possible competitors for that spot, so I guess that's what this was for.

It's called the bench...they could have just cut his mins....can't believe you have to cut him just to play Ray...not buying it...they cut him because he sucks...

They tried that after we signed Boykins. You know, back when McInnis was banished to the bench, and I believe he didn't get any minutes for a game or two? Well, what happened is we proceeded to suck just as much, if not worse, and McInnis ended up starting again before too long.
So, no, you pretty much have to cut them. No one in their right mind is going to keep someone on the bench when the person playing ahead of them is playing poorly, especially if their job is on the line and they probably need to win at all costs.

I actually think that this is very terrible. Something tells me that this is a solution of Vincent-McInnis dispute. So they waived McInnis to show support to this coach. It seems he can get another chance next year. Which is a disaster for the organization and very harmful for the fanbase. I hope it won't be that bad, because Vincent can be only better coaach next year there is not much room to be even worse.

It sure feels strange/wrong. I mean, why now, of all times? What's the point? Maybe there is a back story we don't know. Maybe McInnis nailed Vincent's wife.

lol, wtf. I get back and see this. Whatever, I'm glad we're going with Felton as PG now. Once Wallace gets back it'll be interesting to see how everything meshes. He must've been stirring **** up in the locker room or something. Maybe Jordan was reading our message boards or finally looked at the fact that Mcinnis adds nothing to our team?

so when Wallace gets back, does this mean Nazr starts the rest of the way, or does Carroll start in the small ball line-up??

Better question is...Should Wallace come back this year?

Couldn't they put the focus on Felton playing PG by just having Mcinnis back him up? I mean wtf? Couldn't they have just let BK be the backup here instead of be the backup for the Clippers? Why is it so difficult to play guys in the right positions for this organization? 2 coaches for this franchise so far, both suck at rotations and player management.
I'm not pissed Mcinnis isn't on our team anymore or anything, but i just don't get where they come up with these ways of thinking.
That being said, I thought Felton played well against the Celtics and we had lots of chances to win that game. Rebounding and defense killed us.
