a draft night trade with NYK - think about it

Post#1 » by Sebzor » Mon Mar 3, 2008 6:47 pm

CHA get 2nd pick pick & 32nd pick
NYK get 6th pick & 36th pick (36th is going to POR)

D. Lee/E. Curry
-for: N. Mohammed/O. Harrington/S. May/2nd pick

CHA resign Okafor and have lineup:
Felton/*Singletary(selected with 32nd pick)
Richardson/Carrol
Wallace/Morrison/Dudley
Lee/Davidson
Okafor/Curry/Hollins

NYK rebuild around picks/Balkman/Chandler/Robinson/Crawford/Randolph
NYK select:
2nd: Beasley or Rose (whoever wasn't picked 1st)
6th: Thabeet or Gordon or Mayo or Jordan
OR trade 6th pick for a higher pick to select a PG (D. Collison/D. Augustin)

F.E.: NYK-POR
Q. Richardson/6th pick
-for: J. Przybilla/M. Webster/13th pick

No.

If we get the 2nd pick, we better select Rose or my head will explode.

I'm honestly unsure Sebzor if you go out of your way to come up with the worst trade ideas ever or if you acually think they have merit?

You are suggesting that bringing in Curry and his contract to sit on the bench would be a good idea?

Plus you think that Curry is worth the 2nd overall pick???

Seriously, your title said "think about it"? It took me all of about 1.28 secs to think about it and then the decision was an easy one.

This would do nothing to improve our team.

I wouldn't take Curry for free. The guy doesn't seem to have any drive and I doubt he'll ever contribute significant numbers for a winning team. I don't think this deal would work under the cap anyway, Nazr's salary probably doesn't come close to Curry's.

I hope the Cat's get the first pick, Beasley-Richardson-Okafor-Wallace is an amazing team to have for the next 10+ years
