Clearly.

Gerald has been forcing plays all year, Dudley plays within the flow of the game.

Dudley is less athletic but "cagier".

Dudley does yoga.

Swish can't play 48mpg and we can't expect him to score 40ppg. Other than him, we don't really have any reliable 20ppg scorers.

We need Crash.

Dudley is not better than Gerald Wallace. Neither is the team.

The team may, however, be better without Jeff McInnis.

If without Jeff McInnis means Dudley picks up his minutes instead, then WAY yes

I think the team doesn't miss Wallace's occasional "forcing 1 on 1 play" on the offensive end. The team misses 2005-2006 Wallace, thats for sure.

Dudley is just a beast either way you look at it.

Dudley has been involved in (at least 1 minute) 19 wins.

Only 18 for Gerald.

We play as a team without crash. Hopefully by watching how well we are playing "team" basketball, Crash will fit in. I love everything crash brings to the table except I think he forces too many shots and trys doing everything himself. JRich takes alot of shots, but he works well with others (expecially Duds and Hammer) and gets others involved. Crash does not do that. I love the way Duds has been playing, but no way is he better then Crash, but we pay be.

One of the reasons Gerald has been forcing so many shots, in my opinion, is because he feels like he has to. It's either him or Felton in many cases, since J-Rich is usually on the other wing, so I can see why he chooses himself. Plus I get the feeling he's trying to justify his new contract and prove he can be "the man" on a team.

As a bunch of you have said above, I hope watching our success these last few games will help him realize he doesn't have to force the issue all the time to get results. One of his strongest attributes as a player, in my opinion, is the way he changes the game without having plays run specifically for him. That's something we haven't been seeing enough of this season.

Mcinnis prevented team ball , starting playing 30+ a game averaging 4 points. We need Wallace playing Team Ball along with Felton starting at the point. And Dudley geting that 30+ ate up by Mcinnis.
If all that happens i think we still make a push at the playoffs.

I don't want Crash to rush his come back. I'm ok with him done for this season. His full recovery is much more important than our crazy spurt for play offs.

We don't know how Dudley and Wallace would play (i.e. start) along each other (next season). They didn't play much together and right now it looks like Jared stepped up ant took (a big portion of) what was Gerlad's contribution. Especially the boards. We shouldn't think they remain as effective (as they've been when separated) from the day one next year.

There you have it. 3-1 without mcinnis. Its hard to win when you have a player like mcinnis sucking up 30mpg, while guys like carroll and dudley get inconsistent pt.

There is no team that is better without Gerald Wallace.

There are 30 teams that are better without Jeff McInnis.

If we could trade Crash for a legit big man, a big man like a Bosh, we'd have to seriously look at it IMO.

I doubt Bosh obtainable. Big men are rare commodities in this league while wing players are a dime a dozen. Wallace is in the 2nd to 3rd tier of small fowards. Hes in the same category as Tayshaun Prince, Rudy Gay, Kirilenko, and Josh Smith.

I wouldn't call Crash a "dime a dozen" wing by a long shot.

Wiseguys' list is a little funky, since Rudy Gay and Josh Smith are about 10x as valuable as Prince and AK47, but his point is solid. There's no way the Raptors would give up Bosh for Crash, teams never want to give up franchise big guys for ANYTHING, let alone an oft-injured wing.
