I've attended more Bobcat home games than Jordan.
I've been to Charlotte, never.

It was on the ESPN.com team page for the Bobcats under one of their news tidbits. Here's a link to the article they took the snippet from:

Felton now holds the franchise record for most turnovers, so if he's had the ball in his hands enough to achieve that, he's had the ball in his hands enough to get more assists.

Sorry, no.
And if I had more time, I'd gladly check into whether or not Knight played more minutes than Knight at PG, because I don't think that's true anymore either. Maybe I will check with Paydro70 since he seems to know where I can find the exact totals of what position a player played at.
Even if you assume Knight played every one of his minutes at PG (which he didn't), and give Felton the benefit of the doubt by saying guys like Knight last year and McInnis this year were ALWAYS playing PG when they were in the game, the minute totals would still be close due to the games Knight missed and the fewer minutes that he played.
Or of course, you could use simple logic and realize that Felton is not the passer that Knight is, and for that reason alone, given the same role and same minutes, Felton would not have as many assists, which is why it's taken him basically 60+ extra games worth of minutes to claim that record
