david lee for emeka okafor

lee is good player but he's not what the knicks need , they need a defender of the paint someone to protect his teammates backside....a leader.

okafor is not really a fit for the bobcats , they run their offense on the perimeter and need their interior guys to be finishers , not an okafor strength . the team is actually built to run now and work through richardson wallace and felton , okafor's lack of post offense drags them down.

Lee technically has been the better player over the past 2 years according to their respective PER's, Roland ratings ,+/- etc. he has 1 more year on his rookie deal ,

it will probably require a sign and trade meaning the knicks will have to send malik rose to make salaries match though.
Its because I'm green isn't it?

This forced me to look what his salary is and I found that first sentence of his shamsports.com profile is "David Lee is awesome. It's a shame he's a Knick.". That's classic.

i like lee, as do most. he'd be a fine addition. but when talking okafor trades, i think okafor has more value, regardless of PER.

Eeek. They're roughly equivalent rebounders, but Lee's not as good an offensive player as Okafor, nor as good a defender. So no, I don't want to trade a superior player for an inferior one. It's also amusing that we're going to take Lee on the premise that he'll improve our post scoring.

I like Da White Howard, but we would deserve more than just him for Oak.

Bulls got 2 high picks out of Knicks for Eddy Curry

Okafur should be worth at least 4....

Oh, and Lee does not come close to matching salary for okafur, who must be a BYC sign & trade
