We have no second round according to nbadraft.net. On the contrary Draftexpress says we have no 09' second round. (both say that's because of the Kareem Rush trade) Who knows.

In a more perfect world, we get the #1 pick and take Beasley. Remember, we can't rebound or defend in the post currently.

Perfect offseason and we get the no. 2 pick? God us Bobcat fans are broke down.

Why pay #1 money when Rose is clearly the superior player.

Why risk someone else taking him no. 1 overall. If that difference isn't worth a couple million, I don't what is.

I'd rather guarantee that I got the guy I want then risk it.

Imagine (not that i think Bernie would've done it) Dwight Howard in a bobcats uni.

Two small comments:

April 8th, 2008- I tune in to watch my "first" Bobcats game on FSS. Only I'm not watching the Bobcats. First there's "Best Damn's 50 Best Catches", then theres "Only Knockouts" and finally, "Sports Science" which had a small piece about Jason Kapono's quick jump shot. So I call Time Warner to ask when I'll get the Bobcats on FSS. The lady was really nice, but she was from the Fayetteville district and I'm in the Wilmington district. She called down to Wilmington and found out that TWC from the "Birthplace of Michael Jordan" didn't get the memo that they were to carry the Bobcats feed instead of "regular programming." So, I'm STILL waiting to watch my first Bobcats game on Fox Sports South!

He would have selected Howard, I mean those two were the clear cut top 2 in the draft. Bernie preferred Okafor, thats for sure, though.

I don't know of many teams that would select Rose ahead of Beasley. Minny and Memphis already have their PG's, NY is dumb and would select the big name (Beasley), Beasley compliments Miami and Wade more than Rose...Brand might walk from the Clips and they still hope Livingston will come back.

Realistically, because we have no shot at getting a top 2 pick unless a miracle happens, we trade with Memphis or Minny if they receive the #2 and Beasley is off the board.

The odds are:

#6 = 6.3%
#7 = 4.3%
#8 = 2.8%
#9 = 1.7%
#10 = 1.1%

Not sure when a team last jumped from #7 or lower to land the #1 overall, but of course the Blazers jumped from #6 to the #1 last year.

I really think a lot of teams might take him. Only the Suns, Nets, and Warriors (nbadraft.net 1-15 right now) absolutely wouldn't...in my opinion.

Thats if any of them got no. 1. Not to say Beasley wouldn't be better for the Wolves then yet another perimeter guy in the draft, for example.

If we stay at 8 and Mayo and Brook Lopez are off the board, I'd trade the pick for Hinrich or someone of similar value.

Or, another dream would be select BLopez at 8, trade with PHX to get the 15, and select RLopez.

If Mayo was off the board I would take Griffin.

If Griffin was off the board (or not in the draft) I would take a good hard look at that Randolph kid and maybe even Love or McGee.

But my fingers would be crossed for Griffin.

Nash is not getting any younger and him tutoring Rose as an eventual replacement would be something else. Warriors are in the same boat with B-Diddy.

Rose would be great for both the Suns and the Warriors IMO.

Eh, I'd rather get the 1st, draft Beasley and possibly trade some of our extra pieces (wings) for the best PG we can find.

Be much cheaper than that 64 million.

Regardless of who you want, it is not preferable to have #2.
