Bobcats War Room - 2008 Draft - Vote # 13 for Pick #12

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Fri May 2, 2008 2:24 am

Welcome back to our end of the week version of add one more name to our drafting order. Starting last night, we had one of the more lopsided victories (at least since Rose won by acclaim!) on the second pick. DeAndre Jordan is our newest enshrinee at pick # 11.

I was also interested in a comment made by fatlever earlier today. "We have run out of players that I give a damn about." Guess what, guys. He nailed it. There's not much sexy left in the names. Should we trade out of the 8 spot if we get it, we had better be thinking about this. Good value maybe, but no real draw. If we fans can't get excited about what is left at pick 12, we may have a real problem. And this is SUPPOSED to be a deep draft. Oh, well...............

Now, for tonight. I'm bringing back Danillo Gallinari since he got a vote last time. And I may start putting people in at positions we have a glut at. Value, you know. I don't like it, but in order to maintain this thing with some credibility.............somedays you just have to hold your nose and swallow the damn pill! Yuck. Penicillin. EEEEEWWWWWW!

Off the board: Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, O. J. Mayo, Brook Lopez, Jerryd Bayless, Eric Gordon, Anthony Randolph, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, D. J. Augustin, and DeAndre Jordan.

So, it's time to stop reading my musings and vote. Your job- get it right for the Bobcats. 24 Hours...and then off until Sunday night for this series.
May your man win the poll! SSSSSCCCCRRRRRRRRRAAAATCH !!!!

I have two names left that I am confident will be good for us and can contribute something next year. Darrell Arthur and Roy Hibbert. For this one, I'm sticking with Arthur. At least until Emeka gets his new contract.

Your musing are always entertaining August Us Seazr!!

I'm tossing up between 3 names, but have decided to go with Speights. I think he would be handy at the 4.

doc-yea he is.

I don't think Larry Brown will like him or play him and I'm not really convinced that he's a great need filler for us, but I have to vote of Darrell Arthur here. If college has been boring and he finally "gets it" in the NBA (like Rudy Gay) he's the guy everyone will say we should've taken if we knew what was good for us.

And we now conclude this vote, with Darrell Arthur squeaking out the win.
New thread in just a few, guys!
