Bobcats War Room - 2008 Draft - Pick #21

New day, new draft position decided, new one to decide. Hope everyone had a good day. Brandon Rush did. He made our "want list" at position # 20. He joins:

Point Guards- Derrick Rose, Jerryd Bayless, and D. J. Augustin:
Shooting Guards- O. J. Mayo, Eric Gordon, Russell Westbrook, Nicolas Batum, and Brandon Rush:
Small Forwards- Danillo Gallinari, and Donte Greene:
Power Forwards- Michael Beasley, Brook Lopez, Anthony Randolph, Darrell Arthur, Kevin Love, Marreese Speights, and Robin Lopez:
Centers- JaVale McGee, DeAndre Jordan, and Roy Hibbert.

So, we need to build on what we have. The 21st pick is the second of New Jersey's two first rounders. Their first pick is at # 10. Would they have a need to trade up to take a player? Would we be willing to take 2 first round picks? If the answer to either is yes, then this spot becomes extremely important to our draft night, and conversely, the future of the team.

Last year, the 22nd pick we got from Toronto gave us arguably the best pick we have made since drafting Okafor. The big question is...Could we possibly duplicate with this pick what we did in selecting Jared Dudley?
Here's your chance!

9 choices, 1 vote, 24 hours of polling. Let's do something great!

Ssssssssssccccccccccrrrrrrrrrrrratch!!!!!

I know that Kosta Koufos is from Ohio State, which doesn't mean very much if you are a college basketball player. Football carries a lot more weight. But some of the mocks have him as the highest rated remaining center. And in looking at our list of picks, we have as many power forwards as we have centers and point guards. Does that say anything about how this draft is stacked?

Six nights from now, we find out where we start in the lottery. Are we getting nervous yet?

Claws out---Slash.

Ajinca is the clear choice here.....

Koufos reminds me of Primo too much(with a bit more back to the basket admittedly).....

Everyone says he is so skilled offensively, but I don't see it. 7'1 "skilled" big men should score more than him if they are really so skilled.

Unathletic big men who don't block shots....meh
