Top Ten Lists

We seem to like lists. How about a place for them? Nothing boring like "Top Ten PGs in the League", instead, change it to something that is not position biased like, "Top Ten Passers".

I will begin.

Top Ten Offensive Posters-Strictly based on brute ability to move defenders off of the block (NOT ability to score from the post, this is a list for another time)

1. Dwight Howard
2. Shaq
3. Eddy Curry
4. Duncan
5. Boozer
6. Brand
7. Jefferson
8. Randolph
9. Kaman
10. Yao

hm (in order): KG, Bynum, Okafor, Haywood, Ilgauskas

Top Ten Post Anchors-Who doesn't get moved off of the block if going against one of the above guys

1. Shaq?
2. Dwight
3. Duncan
4. Ben Wallace
5. Rasheed Wallace
6. Dampier
7. Haywood
8. KG
9. Okafor
10. Chandler

hm (in order): Perkins, Dikembe, Kaman, Maxiell, Camby

Ought to get things started, look forward to debating these! Other lists I'd love to see: TT lockdown defenders, TT skilled dribblers, TT *in-game* dunkers, TT passers (maybe differentiate b/w pinpoint and flashy?), TT skilled scorers in the post (and their counterparts--skilled post defenders), TT ironmen/war machines, TT china dolls, TT offensive/defensive bbiq guys, TT fastest (end to end), TT quickest (laterally), TT scoreres off the dribble, TT hustlers

Fats and Slam, feel free to kill the thread if it's too OT, but I think this could generate some traffic/discussion that isn't draft related...

I love it.

Top 10 Passers, on the basis of running the offense, avoiding mistakes, creating opportunities and finding others (the "creating opportunities" bit is to avoid players who do nothing but pass, like say, Earl Watson):
1) Chris Paul
2) Steve Nash
3) Jason Kidd
4) Jose Calderon
5) Deron Williams
6) Brandon Roy
7)Chauncey Billups
8) LeBron James
9) TJ Ford
10) Allen Iverson
HM: Andre Miller, Watson, Brevin Knight, Tony Parker, A. Johnson, A. Carter.

I'll also try my own "low block beasts" list:
1) Dwight Howard
2) Tim Duncan
3) Eddy Curry
4) Shaq
5) Andrew Bynum
6) Carlos Boozer
7) Yao Ming
8) Al Jefferson
9) Elton Brand

nice.....

eddies is an awesome place for breakfast. i live fairly close to cotswold so i hit this place up a few times a year. o to live at the new mega-castle across the street.

the shun lee palace? really? is that the one on colwick behind the chik-fil-a? OMG, that place has been there for like 30 years. i ate there a few months ago. i thought chef ramsey would pop out of the kitchen at any moment with a kitchen nightmares film crew behind him.

tres peso! LOL. thats so random. i used to work off old pineville. i've eaten at that place about 100 times. love the view... food is ok.

a couple more....

1. woodbutcher's deli - old pineville - LOVE that place. its like home.
2. middle east deli - independence - eat at your own risk
3. sante - matthews - when you are in the mood for fancy

No matter what I think of putting as a top 10 list, it's all going to make me look like a smart ass... and rightfully so.

My list:
Best Handles

2. Alston
3. Nash
4. Paul
5. Marbury
6. Deron
7. Jason Williams
8. Crawford
9. Baron Davis
10. TJ Ford

HM: Wade, Parker, Melo and LeBron- all of these guys have great handle highlights, but to me it's b/c of their athleticism vs. some of the skill required for the guys above.

Anyone want to take a stab at fastest?

I'm thinking (off the top of my head). No idea really what order I'd put them in, these are my tiers though...

1-3.Ellis, Barbosa, Ford
4-6: Parker, Iverson, Harris
7-10: Marcus Banks, Arenas, Paul...Ronnie Brewer? Jordan Farmar?
