hope this isn't too OT, but with this being the big Nascar time here in the charlotte area (all star yesterday, 600 coming up, speed street) just wanted to see if there are any Nascar fans lurking.
thoughts on Kahne's victory last night? What about the incredible hatred people have for Kyle Bush?

I was at Winn Dixie tonight and I saw a Idiots Guide to Nascar.
I thought that was pretty funny.
also, being from Orlando I know not to be on I4 when Daytona 500 is in town.

I live in the University Area so right now I'm in the middle of hell being close to the track with a two week NASCAR marathon going on.
Still besides traffic I was shocked to find out that it makes it easier to eat out or get into movies. I usually avoid going out during race week in this area like the plague but last year I braved it and met some friends out at Concord Mills. I figured it'd be packed with people like always but it was quite the opposite. There was no line on opening night for the Pirates movie for god sakes and I ate dinner with no wait in line at a time that there is usually a 30 min wait. A few of the waitress I talked to says people think Nascar races brings in business down here but she says it has the opposite effect and it keeps all the local residents away.
