Bobcats War Room - 2008 Draft - Pick #25

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Thu May 22, 2008 2:50 am

Our vote at pick # 24 has concluded. Our winner- Joe Alexander, Power Forward of the University of West Virginia- a Junior.

Now that we have that out of the way, I just wanted to say that I guess if we Bobcats fans are waiting for the lottery to get us into the playoffs, the Clippers may win a championship first. All in all, Da Bullsh had the elevator ride, while with slightly better odds, the Bobcats were left with nothin but SHAFT.

Do the rest of you guys feel like we got mowed down with a Soviet water cannon??? :nonono:! Well, mine came with a lot of lightning, heavy downpours, and maybe a hint of hail. Wait til next year.

But what do we do now? Okay, as currently concocted, we draft at 9. As our polls have it, we probably go point guard (maybe combo guard) with either D. J. Augustin or Russell Westbrook. Or as several posters on other threads have stated- Trade the darn thing and be sure to get some extra value, namely a "young veteran" player. Then again, we look down one spot and see the Nets with picks 10 and 21. One spot under where we draft now- AND one spot better than our Toronto pick from last year, where we got arguably our best draftee in 3 years. Only time will tell, guys. But we all have a lot to discuss in the next 5 weeks.

But what if we don't do anything in the previous paragraph and work a player for player trade with # 8 going in the deal to Houston for # 25. Who do we choose if someone already on our draft board doesn't slip down to us? That is a question only we can decide as a group. So I will now ask you to help do just that! And as always...Thanks for voting.

Claw ON!

Okay, time to finally get finished with this vote. Slam, you seemed to have made it a tie. How many of these votes have been settled by tiebreaker- six? Sometimes I think you guys like to have me settle these with a tiebreaker method.

Reverse raffle again.
Lawson.
Walker.
Walker.
Lawson. Tied at 2- Next one loses......................
Walker. If you voted for Bill Walker, better luck next time. Our last slip standing is Tywon Lawson. We have added a new point guard to the list.

New thread in a few.
