POR - CHAR

I was looking at rumors and would said Portland would want to move up for Augustin. I was thinking about a trade like this.
Frye, Jack and 13
for
Morrison and 9
This gives Brown a tall PG with some strength. I am not sure how Frye would fit into his plans but it is a big man who can hit the mid range jumper. Plus at 13 we could still get a athletic 4 to play along side EO.

I'd be down.
But I like Spectre's trade idea with the Jazz a whole lot more!!

Could you not do both. Something along this line.
Cats Trades:
Morrison, Wallace, Nazr, 8, filler
Get:
Boozer, Harpring, 23, Jack, Frye
Jazz Trades:
Boozer, Harpring, 23
Get:
Wallace, Nazr, 13
Port Trades:
Jack, Frye, 13
Get:
Morrison, 8
Our lineup would be
Felton/Jack - or switched battle in camp
J-Rich/Carroll
Harpring/Dudley
Boozer/Davidson/23rd pick
EO/Frye
Nice mixed group plus Frye can play late in close game for his FT shooting which we need from a big man.

I like the 1st trade, not sure on the 2nd.

My amended trade was Nazr/Crash 9th for Boozer and Brewer. If we could talk the Jazz into taking the 13th instead (and there's no guarantee they'd even do the 1st) I'd certainly be down.
I'd be doing it for Frye though. Jack is much more a combo (POR fans have said he lacks court vision and pretty much sucks in running sets) and I doubt he'd get a lot of burn at the 2 if we got Brewer. I guess he'd be ok for spot minutes backing Felts...but I doubt he'd be happy just regulated to that.

I think court vision was also the knock on Billups before Detroit. The stats from their first three years for the two are pretty similar as are body types. I am not sure we could get Brewer but if we changed it to Almond I think we might have a chance with the 13, Wallace and Nazr.

I think this would be an amazing deal for us.
Felts - FA?
Brewer - Hammer
Swish - Dude - Ammo
Boozer - McMay - Davidson
EO50 - 2nd rd pick (DeVon Hardin?) - Hollins
Gives us the on ball defender with handles we long for as well as a big who can play the pick and pop as well as the pick and roll.
I love it.

Got to have Ronnie Brewer coming our way or the deal isn't nearly as attractive IMO.

in a freakin hearbeat
I like the Portland trade to. Love Channing Frye and Jack is steady.
Not sure Utah would trade Booz away.

Y'know, adding in Jack and Frye (for the 55 games or so May is out) does balance the roster better. Jack can play the 2 and in a pinch Hammer could slide to the 3. LB has also liked the half court game in the past which does makes Jack more useful.
Slam, which do you like better...Jack/Frye or TT? This deal does net us depth at PG.

Yeah, no telling how their management is feeling. Their fans however are still pissed from the playoffs so emotions are coming into play.
They all seem to love Crash though and feel Nazr will give them very productive minutes.

I prefer the TT deal with us selecting either DJ or Westbrook at #9

And they also want AK47 at his more natural and productive position at the 4 - which wont happen with Boozer there.

You could make it so that we get brewer and not harpring. I mean you could do both trades. I am just not sure Utah would trade Brewer. Ideally our lineup could be:
Felton/Jack
Brewer/Carroll
JRich/Dudley
Boozer/Davidson/23rd pick
EO/Frye
It works in trade machine on ESPN. So I mean if Spectre's trade was cool with Utah no reason we could not do both and improve our starters and our depth.

Sorry, should have clarified. Which would you prefer:
Nazr/Crash/9th/Ammo out
for
Booz/Brewer/Jack/Frye
or
Booz/Brewer/TT
Our pick would be going out to Utah (or POR if we went that route and Utah would settle for the 13th) in either case.

If we go the TT route then we will need to find a backup center somewhere.

If we pulled off something like that I would filp my wig!!
I'd go into the season accepting nothing less than playing in the finals.

Ahhhhhhh, I see.
I'd go with Booz/Brewer/Jack/Frye for sure. Like jd has been saying, a lot more depth and NBA experience. Plus it addresses our back up PG problem.

POB for next to nothing or Diop for the MLE.

ok, no one really explains how Utah would ever shop Boozer; Sloan treats Boozer like the second coming of Karl Malone in their offense -- why would they ever give him up for an expiring contract, an injury prone swingman, and a draft pick (sloan doesn't play rookies that much); this is not even discounting losing one of their ONLY good defenders (outside of AK, who do they have? Ronnie Brewer?!) in Harpring
this is a team that is one season removed from the western conference finals, a team that made it to the second round, playing tough against a loaded lakers team -- they're not going to want to lose half of their rebounding and 1/4 of their scoring on a chance like Crash and a draft pick
