I know SAC wants to move up to grab someone like Love or the kid from LSU for their PF position. I know the deal offered earlier got locked for making no sense. Is there aything you think they could offer which could get the deal done?

SAC has the #12, so we would be moving back 3 spots. Now, I happen to think #12 would be a nice spot to grab JaVale McGee or Kosta Koufos. Question is, what does SAC add? They have 2 2nds at #42 and #43. I am not sure that would be enough buy itself. Certainly this draft is deep and we can always enjoy 3 2nd rounders. Or, we culd package 2 of them or all 3 to move back into latter half of the 1st. Ty Lawson would be a terrific grab for PG late in the 1st. He can push Ray hard for the start. (Cannot believe I am saying that as I cannot stand too many UNC players on our team)

Anyway, is dealing with SAC anything you think we might want to explore?

i would gladly accept salmons or garcia to move back 3 spots, although that doesnt seem likely.

i wouldnt want any part of 42,43. no need for 4 rookies on the roster next year. that's overkill. also, i'm not sure i'd give up a shot a westbrook, love, randolph or dj if the end result is us getting mcgee or koufos and second round picks. now if i had a crystal ball and knew that dj would fall to 12, then sure. why not.

the kings would basically have to make the deal too good to pass up, imo, like adding garcia or salmons for harrington.

Yeah, I dont see them tossing in Garcia, but he is a good young player and I would give it strong consideration if he was offered.

I disagree on McGee. I think he's going to be much better than Hollins or Davidson. And Koufos has an outside game which would be very helpful at playing the PF position. It frees up Okafor inside.

That said, if we did that and then missed on Randloph or Westbrook, we might be kicking ourselves in the butt later.

its just not worth losing out on a better prospect in order to pick up some second round picks. maybe if the front office is absolutely convinced that mcgee is a top 9 talent then maybe they agree to move back to grab him while picking up some extra picks.

but based on dx's review of mcgee in orlando... i dont see mcgee making that strong of an impression.

koufos doesn't have the quickness to play the 4- he is a 5- not a bad prospect- but unless we get a good incentive to move back I am for staying put.

Joey Dorsey, Davon Hardin, Davon Jefferson imho are all better prospects than McGee.
