Charlotte Receives: Marion, Blount and #2
Miami Receives: Okeafor, Felton, and #9
Waht do you think?

Too much for us to give up.

You might get Felton OR the #9, but not both.

wut if we give up cook

We already have Swish and Hammer under long contracts. No need for Cook - he wouldn't get any burn.

His contract sort of sucks for a 3ed string PG/seriously under sized SG.

Of course the other problem with the offer is that Marion is an UFA after next season - meaning that he could walk after one year with us and we are left with nothing meaning the trade would basically boil down to:

Rose or Beasley and Blount or Banks
for
Okafor, Felton and who ever you would take at #9

u would also get 17 million in cap room and lets say it was just marion and the #2 nobody else

Don't need cap room at this stage. We need quality players (Okafor and Felton) who want to be here.

Other Bobcats fans might feel different to me, but I think we would be giving up too much.

uhh i would totally do that. okafor and felton arent developing

mhfan.......don't listen to BigSlam. He never agrees on a trade unless you said something like Marion and 2 for 9 and Othella Harrington. I would totally do Marion, 2, and Blount for Felton, Okafor, and 9. I would be totally psyched if you added Cook or Banks instead of Blount. Larry Brown could do wonders with this lineup:

Derrick Rose
JRich
Wallace
Marion
Nazr/Free agent

with Morrison, Carroll, Hermann, May, Dudley, etc off the bench.

I'd do Marion and #2 for Harrington. That sounds fair......................

And what do we do at the 4 after next season when Marion bolts and leaves us for someone else?

What if, in your super dooper plan, the Bulls take Rose and we take Beasley? Sure, that would help when Marion hits the road after 1 season, but who is going to run the point?

Boykins?

You get sucked in by fools gold way too easily CarolinaCash.

Hard to digest an opinion from someone who thinks Fabio is still on the team.

That being said, I tend to agree with you. If Marion had a better contract, I would probably do it. Without a long term deal, I am not sure I'd do it, but I would really have to think about it.

Felton for Pres.......let's see who's the fool when Walter re-signs. I've heard that one of Jordan's first moves will be getting Hermann back. I know he's not on the team but that was a lineup for next year.

BigSlam....you are not smart. Felton isn't a Larry Brown point guard. Brown can find anyone to run the team like he wants......he would be fine with Eric Snow as an assistant coach/pg. If Chicago takes Rose we would be fine....Brown will find a point guard.

PG
JRich
Wallace
Beasley
Nazr

Trying to get to #2 is just real costly. Giving up Okafor, Felton and #9? I think is would be more agreeable if it was Okafor and Felton alone and we kept #9. That would tell you if Miami wants them badly enough.

DJ Augustine Rose Mayo
J-Rich J-Rich J-Rich
Crash Crash Crash
Beasley Randolph or Love Randolph or Love
Nazr Nazr Nazr

Any of these 3 would be a vast improvement.

Any interest in the #3 (Mayo)?

And can you explain why Okafor turned down that $13 mil extension? I never really understood that.

I would strongly consider Mayo at #2 or #3. If we had the #2 and #9, and Rose was taken 1st, as much as I love Beasley, Mayo may be my choice. Mayo is not only a scorer, but a very good defender. Beasley scores and rebounds, but doesn't play much defense. Kinda like that Randolph guy in NY that people dont like. And with Beasley's off the court issues, I think people fear him being like Zach Randolph.

Okafor should never have turned down #13 mil. It worries me on resigning him as I cannot see that being offered again and his pride may lead him to just take the QO and walk after this upcoming season.

And I want Walter Hermann to be resigned by Charlotte. Hell, he saw more time under Vincent than he did in Detroit. Vincent never gave Fabio the time on Court he deserved.

I liked Walter on the squad, but I doubt he's anywhere near Jordan's radar screen. I think the Spurs need to him as the perfect replacement for Big Shot Bob.

That was really good thinking. He would be a very good piece to come in for the Spurs for simply getting out around the arc and firing it up. Still, I really liked him on our team and would love to have him back on our bench playing 15 min per game.
