Another Charlotte Detroit Trade

How about we trade Gerald Wallace and Felton for Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey.
The trade works on the trade checker. I hate to see Felts and G-Dubbs go but I am really concerned Wallace is bitten by the "Dan Morgan" bug and he will always be injured. This trade would work assuming that we get DJ Augustine as our new pg.
our lineup would be
Augustine/Stuckey/FA (Anthony Carter)
J-Rich/Stuckey/Carroll
Tayshaun/Dudley/Morrison
Hopefully FA/Emeka/Duds/May??/Davidson
Okafor/Nazr/ Hollins
The only problem is that our we have a missing piece at the 4 or 5 depending on what Okafor plays.

I dont think so. With Wallace for Prince we'd lose scoring, rebounding, and steals. Both are good defenders but Wallace's intensity lifts the team. Felton and Stuckey, i'm leaning toward Felton now. Stuckey was asked to just score off the bench, not run the team. Even though he looked good and will be a good player, I'd rather see what Felton does under Brown.
So overall this is a bad deal for us, losing our best overall player and not gaining the PF we need so bad in return.

I would trade Felton+something for Maxiell, but I doubt they would listen

I would agree to Felton and Wallace for Stuckey and Prince instantly.

its too much of a lateral move for me.

If Detroit would think of adding in Maxielle, it might be worthy of strong consideration.

I think Prince is a better roleplayer than Gerald, and doesn't have injury problems.
I also like Stuckney, wanted to draft him last year, and believe he has room to improve.
This move is still risky, though. We'd have to be assured to get a starting caliber PG through another move.

I would do this deal. Though Gerald Wallace is a slightly better player I think, but with Stuckey in the deal for Felton as well this makes the deal in our favor a bit. I like Prince more as a player, and I think Stuckey, and Prince make us a better team.

still thinking... why would detroit be interested in this deal? neither felton or wallace is noticeably better than prince or stuckey and prince and stuckey already know the system. plus, it seems to me that if detroit moves either prince or stuckey they would want to get younger or upgrade their pf/c. sheed and mydess arent getting any younger.

What about JRich and Crash for Hamilton and Prince? LB loved Hamilton's game. I don't think Stuckey is available.
Nobody is going to trade us a big for any of our shorties. At least not any big worth acquiring.

seems like another lateral trade. what's the point? similar talent, except the rip is older than jrich. the age makes it a no for me.

Dont see Detroit just gutting their team chemistry like that for Jrich and Crash.

by Felton for Pres
The Detroit News has another option.

"Would Dumars call his buddy Michael Jordan in Charlotte and try to work a deal for Jason Richardson, who is going to, most likely, chafe under the constraints of Larry Brown's offense? Would Dumars call and offer Wallace and others in exchange for Richardson and Emeka Okafor? "
Uh...heck yeah Dumars would do that in a heart beat. Not sure how they'd pay for that though. This is one of things I dislike about this time of year. The local media (except in CLT of course) tend to make up a bunch of pipe dream scenarios. I suppose it helps keep people interested, but its just not realistic.

Agreed. The age difference takes Rip Hamilton off the board for me in that deal.

yes, lets trade okafor and jrich for an over-the-hill sheed and "others".
why would jrich "chafe" under browns constraints? thats a ridiculous assumption.

another ridiculous detroit trade (found at bcp, thanks guys).

this site suggests we trade wallace and #9 for sheed and #29.
what the hell is wrong with people?

wow that one is completely laughable. I wouldn't trade Crash by himself for Sheed and the #29. People really have no idea of any value of players for other teams.
I know, how about out second round pick and Matt Carroll for KG?
