MEMPHIS-CHARLOTTE

Post#1 » by ohara » Tue Jun 3, 2008 5:52 pm

This was being tossed about on the big board ealier today.

Mike Miller and #5 for Crash and #9

Yes, I'd do that right away. Crash and J-Rich are too similar and proved not to be our most productful lineup. I think having Miller at SG and J-Rish as SF is much better. The #5 then opens up a whole set of options not currently available. Very possible Mayo is there, and we know we could entertain a host of possible trade options.

When you consider that our lineup was more efficient and productive with Carroll in and Crash out, what does that tell us? Something just doesn't fit right. They are too similar and we have no flow. Miller would be a great fit at SG allowing for J-Rich to play his natural SF spot.

Agree or shoot it down?

Shoot it down!!

We would suck defensively with Miller at the 2 and Swish at the 3.

Moving Crash for another wing is only worth while if we can move him for a SG with handles, play making ability and who can defend on ball.

At least it's to the Western Conference. But No. Don't pull the trigger on this one!

I'm afraid the $ wont work on this one anyway. Other pieces would have to be involved, and that makes it bad for both sides.

I don't understand the fascination with Mike Miller. He's ok, but he's not better than Crash. They have diffferent games, and to be honest, Crash fits better with Larry Brown. And the #5 pick doesn't give us a huge leap in talent over the #9.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

The only person on Memphis I would be interested in trading for would be Warrick. He'd give us that athletic 4 guy that I would be dying to see.

ditto. I'd imagine we could get him for a reasonable deal too.
