a deal that Larry Brown would like
Memphis has an extra point guard, rudy gay has really developed, I think they can bring some talent again
Denver I hate there point guard situation I think they wanted to unloaded camby
Charlotte I think this point guard is ideal for point guard tough Larry Brown, they also getting two other larry brown candiates, this is responces to another trade
http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic....mp;start=0
Denver receives Raymond Felton, Jason Collins, #28 (Davon Jefferson?)
Denver trades Linus Kleiza, Marcus Camby, #20 (Marrese Speights)
Charlotte receives Kyle Lowry, Linus Kleiza, Hakim Warrick
Charlotte trades Raymond Felton
Memphis receives Marcus Camby, #20 Marrese Speights
Memphis trades, Kyle Lowry, Linus Kleiza, Jason Collins, Hakim Warrick, #28 ( Davon Jefferson or best available)

Even as a Felton fan, I'd have a hard time arguing against that. As usual, I don't know how this works financially. That would give us a lot of players and and I don't know if that means we try to package them into something else or just work with them. Maybe this would allow us to trade up...either way, I would do this deal.

Same here. I would hate to see Felton go , but this looks like a nice Package.

There is 0% chance that Memphis does this. Warrick AND Lowry for Camby plus a downgrade in picks? Not a chance.
Of course I would love it for the Cats. I would even throw in a second rounder to Memphis to make it happen. Warrick and Lowry with JRich, Crash, and Okafor is a team to root for.

In additon the offer is confusing about Kleiza, he should be going to Memphis, I guess._tijo_ wrote:There is 0% chance that Memphis does this. Warrick AND Lowry for Camby plus a upgrade in picks? Not a chance.

i was thinking about another deal w/ memphis. yesterday i read that memphis might be interested in moving down a few spots. what if we agreed to trade may/harrington and 9 for 5 and cardinal? memphis moves down and replaces cardinal with some cap friendly deals? i havent looked at the trade checker or anything, just a thought. is taking on cardinal's deal enough to move up from 9 to 5?
at 5 i am taking love or mayo.
i dont do this deal if love and mayo are both off the board.

I'd do it for sure. Pigboy and the #9 for Cardinal and the #5?
In a heart beat.

Who would you be targeting (assume Mayo goes 3rd) that's worth taking on 13 million over the next 2 years? Love moving up on your mock?
As for the original trade I guess I'll go against conventional wisdom and say I don't like it either. Warrick has been a big disappointment and I don't see him anything other than a backup. Same goes with Lowry (tho I would like to have him as a backup).
Kleiza might be why you guys are saying it's good...I don't know a lot about him. He does have a good FG%, but how is his D? Do we need yet another white SG/SF who's specialty (I assume) is gunning?

It would be more about being in a higher draft position which would potentially create more options for us. We could either hope that someone like Mayo slipped down to #5 or we could dangle the #5 to a team further down and draft for them.
Eg - Lets say the Jazz wouldn't be interested in the #9 for Boozer but I bet the #5 for Boozer would spike thier interest a little more.
A top 5 pick has more trade power than a top 10 pick.
Know what I mean?

I do like how you think!
I'm just mighty worried about all these MLE contracts we're acquiring for bench players. In this instance we'd be giving up what expirings we do have and taking on another...that would make 3. Maybe if Cardinal could actually contribute like Nazr & Hammer...but he's pretty much dead weight isn't he?
But then again, we'd have a bad contract that we could add in as filler. Certainly not something we would hope to have a lot of, but at times can be fortuitous.
Maybe a 3 way possibility? I would like to add in Lowry as our backup too if possible.

I might be wrong, but I think that Cardinal only has 2 years left on his deal any way. So we would carry him next season and then the one after he becomes an expiring - which potentially holds value.
I agree that I wouldn't want a whole slew of MLE contracts on the books, but so long as they are only valid for a year or two I would be ok with it. It's only when they are 3, 4, 5 years long that I would start to be scared away.
Agreed - I would also like to add Lowry as a back up PG!

Larry Bown loves this trade Lowry is tough, hustle first point guard who went to Villanova in wich Larry Brown as a strong friendship with Jay Wright,
Linus Kleiza is hardwork and little things, he is very George Lynch like in playing styling, Lynch was probaly one of browns favor players next too Aaron Mckie
Warrick Very athletic he was sired at a good college program with an excellent coach, his long wingspan, would stepup a great complimen with Kleiza at 3/4
Denver does really well here they get a stable point guard, for AI and Melo they are going to have a cap problem 2 to 3 years and want to under load Camby/Martin or Nene, they have 5 players making over 9 million next year. Karl has the right temperment for Felton
if you look at Memphis depth chart, a strong defense center is perfect compliment to the core Conley/Miller/Milicic/Gay, they also move up in draft to acquire more talent, they could possibily be a playful contender if they sign Jamison or Brand. when you consider that they have a high pick they are in good position to be a playoff team.
to answer the cap question Kleiza/Lowry/Warrick are going to make together 5.3 million which always nice for cost conscience Bob johnson. felton is going to make 4.1 next year

vs. the status quo? The same can be said of Felton, and I doubt Lowry's college trumps Felts' in Brown's eyes. I do like Lowry, but I think he's a definite downgrade at the position.

I've already admitted to no knowledge of this guy, but Lynch was like a smaller Ben Wallace (with a good attitude) wasn't he? I'm finding it hard to find that comparison in a guy like Lleiza.

But what has he done in the grown up League?
Exactly.

back to the #5 and cardinal deal.
i'd basically be doing the deal for love. people seem to be intrested in the idea of landing sheed at the cost of 13 mil in salary and the #9 pick or crash. i happen to think love will be as good as sheed will be at 34, if not very close... and he's um...........15 years younger. so i'd happily take on cardinal's deal in order to add love and keep crash.
