Bobcats War Room - 2008 Draft - Round 2 - Pick # 37

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Tue Jun 10, 2008 11:20 am

We are back after a weather related delay. Hope this heat breaks soon. This old man can't take much heat these days before he's DONE! The poke me with a fork variety.

On to business. At pick #36, you surprised me with another tie! Jason Thompson has now become the hard-luck pick on our board. To my recall, he has now lost TWO tiebreaker raffles. (Maybe that bodes well for # 37 or # 38. Or not!) Kyle Weaver of Washington State was the last name in the hat this time and has been entered on the summary board.

We now adjust our list a little bit and come up with the names you will find as you first enter this thread. See someone who grabs you? Or the one you have been repeatedly voting for and they never won? This may be your winning day! (Yeah, right. The old Publishers Clearinghouse spiel. Good one, Man!) Best of luck to all of the nine. And to Hamilton, who one day may get an accompanying vote to pair with his.

Since we lost some time yesterday, we need to catch up. So if we can vote this out by 8 PM tonight, I will get # 38 up a.s.a.p. after I tally results. If through popular demand you need an extension, please voice your concerns. I'll see what I can do. Voters up!

By the mocks, Jason Thompson is the highest rated talent left. He fills a need. His luck in tiebreakers has been abysmal. Let's hope that doesn't carry over to overtime games. But anyway.....

Jason Thompson.

Agreed on Jason Thompson. I might would have considered Pekovic, but he already made it clear he is not playing in the NBA this year. Lester Hudson is one I like, but he was exposed during the Pre-Draft camp. Only other one I might consider is Kyle Weaver.

I said Wayne Ellington. It would at least bring some fans into the building. And he would make the Bobcats a better overall team especially on the defensive end.
