Cavs Fan asking about a SG

Cavs fan here, just trying to gauge the values of Richardson and Wallace. Which one would you guys rather part with? Is there a trade with the Cavs you would make for either of them?

IMO there isn't much on the Cavs roster that you can get Wallace or J-Rich for without giving up you know who.
I like Delonte and Varejao but they won't suffice to snag either Wallace or J-Rich, plus we can't trade for Varejao due to giving him that offer sheet.
Bobcats and Cavs just ain't good trading partners at the moment. The Cavs would be better of talking to the Bucks for Redd or Mo.

I agree- but will take it one step further:
I don't think the Cavs are good trading partners with anyone. Outside of the big guy there isn't really anything of desire on the roster and their draft picks are never going to be much better than the latter part of the 1st round.

Seems like every couple weeks I post about how "Team X" is a bad trade partner for the Bobcats.
The Cavs are no exception. The guys the Cavs would want to trade, wouldn't work...and the Cavs would never trade the players the Bobcats would want.
Also, when I saw this I figured it would be about Matt. Good luck on getting a good Wallace or Richardson.

Thanks for the feedback. Crash and J-Rich are both scratched off of my "Possible SG's" List.
However, one of the beat writers in Cleveland, Brian Windhorst, mentioned that the Bobcats and the Cavs could be likely trade partners, especially with Charlotte's interest in Anderson Varejao.
Now, I know that the Cavs couldn't trade Varejao to you guys until one year after you signed him to the offer sheet, and I'm not sure if he just forgot this, or thought that a trade could happen in November. It seems like the only players on the Bobcats that the Cavs would be interested in would be Felton (your best player, doubt he's leaving anytime soon) J-Rich and Crash (Again, not sure what you'd want from us for either one of them) or Okafor. None of these really make any sense to me, and usually I'd just discredit is as another beat writer who knows less than a lot of the fans on the forums. However, Windhorst is good... really good. So, what trade could you see going down during the season between Charlotte and Cleveland, if any?

Any trade with Varejao going to the Bobcats can't happen until after Dec. 5. With the fact that Charlotte almost certainlly will go big with their lottery pick (whether they draft one or trade it for one), I just don't think there will be that need anymore. Say Lopez at 9, a resigned Okafor, Mohammed, Davidson, one more veteran, as well as the possibilities of Sean May and Ryan Hollins...the Bobcats run out of a need for Varejao.
Now as far as answering your question. I wouldn't exactly be horrified to see Charlotte get Damon Jones in a cost cutting move for the Cavs. But that would only be after the Bobcats exhausted all other avenues.
As far as your reporter, I'm guessing he means since the Bobcats made the initial offer for Varejao...they might want to trade for him. I think that was more a no risk/high reward situation.
Bobcats had the cap space and a need, they figured if the Cavs didn't match...they'd land a pretty good player. If the Cavs do match, Bobcats at least made an attempt to upgrade their roster.

Thanks. I completely forgot that you guys would almost positively draft a big at #9.
Maybe Damon Jones for Sean May?
That's about the only trade left I could think of.
But thanks for the helpfulness on your board. Feel free to visit the Cavs' board anytime.

I thought I would piggyback on this thread rather than start a new one: Would you guys be interested in a Gerald Wallace for Hedo Turkoglu swap?

I wouldn't think so. Hedo just had an outstanding season, but he's getting old and Crash has more dimensions to his game.
