Hey guys. We can now fill that slot at 39 left when I had to move everybody up to fill the spots of Chase Budinger and Tywon Lawson, who were elected to the 23rd and 25th slots on our draft board. New name is Ante Tomic, Center, KK Zagreb, Croatia. He is a 7' 1", 225 lb. Center.

We are rapidly depleting the list of power forwards and centers. There are still a few point guard types left in this range of the draft, but the shooting guards and small forwards sort of dominate this middle part of the second round. And we have one value guy left. Courtney Lee was slated by my reference mocks for the late first round but has slipped in our polling to the middle of the second round. I see he gets a flyer vote here and there, but not much support. Last night also saw the introduction of three new point guards who, due to the withdrawals of several players have hit the mocks with a vengeance! These three are Goran Dragic, point guard extrodinaire from Slovenia, George Hill, a lightweight point guard from IUPUI, and Mike Taylor from Iowa State by way of the NBDL.

And tonight, we are adding another new name-Semih Erden, another Turkish Center. Have some fun with this one, because, once again it is time to vote! Claw on!

Since I mentioned the plight of Courtney Lee above, I got to thinking about it. We are focused on our needs positions. Lee isn't a need position guy, so down he plummets. The bigs are starting to thin way down, causing me to look at point guards again. I realize that most of these guys are minimal use to us in the grand scheme of things, but one stands out to me. Goran Dragic of Slovenia.

He has a wealth of International experience, so we wouldn't have to teach him how to "play" point guard. His biggest problem would be adjusting to the NBA game, which many other Euros have done on a yearly basis. I like his game, that experience, and that if he doesn't come this year, we can find a way to stash his rights and have him ready to step in and support the PG position in the future.

Don't let me sway you if you feel differently, but at this point, my guy is Dragic.
