Time for the honorary Richard Petty (# 43) pick. Fast, and a winner! Let's remember that, guys!
Our winner at # 42 was newcomer James Gist, Power Forward, Maryland. Who will be our speedy guy and a winner at # 43? We will know tomorrow night, weather permitting. Three more picks to decide!
To recap what we have done so far, we have selected:
A total of 10 Centers-
# 7-Brook Lopez
# 11-DeAndre Jordan

# 16-Roy Hibbert
# 21-Kosta Koufos

# 36-Nikola Pekovic
# 39-Ante Tomic
A total of 12 Power/Combo Forwards-

# 37-D. J. White
# 38-Ryan Anderson
A total of 4 Small Forwards-

# 19-Nicolas Batum
# 23-Joe Alexander
A total of 8 Shooting/Combo Guards-
# 5-Jerryd Bayless

# 10-Eric Gordon
# 20-Brandon Rush

# 40-Courtney Lee
A total of 4 Point Guards-
# 2-Derrick Rose
# 8-D. J. Augustin
# 28-Mario Chalmers
# 41-Goran Dragic
Now that we know those who have been selected, we switch to the top guys remaining on the board. I realize that we are probably going to have more people disagreeing with the 5 reference mocks as we exhaust the top players, so I'm going to stop "picking on" Hamilton, and revert to calling the "Somebody else" selection what it is..... None of the Above. Feel free to state your case, but PLEASE... enter the name of your player in a reply so that if we have a tie, we can sort it out. Who knows, you may even convince others to go your way! That'd be cool!
Time to vote. We'll close at 9:00 PM EDT on Monday night.

Here is the reach of all reaches!
Anton Ponkrashov!
6' 7" Point Guard
from Russia!
DA! Magic Johnson size. Probably not Magic Johnson talent. But this isn't the first pick in the draft, now, is it? And look up at the previous list. We have only selected 4 true point guards out of 42 players. We NEED another one.

Since I don't think I'll be able to get Darnell Jackson drafted, despite being a candidate for the next Udonis Haslem "undrafted player-starting caliber big man" award (at least by the pro rater metric), I went with Jamont Gordon again. He's maybe got a little Roger Mason, Jr in him, which I like.

It's time to break out the hat again. We have a @@@ again, with Jamont Gordon and Anton Ponkrashov each garnering 2 votes. We will again utilize our "World Famous" reverse raffle to decide this thing. Here goes..............
First slip reads: Jamont Gordon. Tension Builds.......................
Second slip reads: Anton Ponkrashov. I can now hear a pin drop!
Third slip reads: Gordon!, which means that our remaining slip of paper contains the name of Anton Ponkrashov, our # 43 pick winner. On to pick # 44, our next to last selection.
