I think we can get more out of a trade for Wallace than the underachieving, equally as expensive Odom.

Generally I really like Odom, but I wouldn't do that deal...

LaFrentz has a $12 million expiring contract. Wallace with the Blazers would absolutely rock!!!

LO for Crash makes sense. Odom has the ability to play the PF and he is very agile. This is exactly what we need a PF who can guard the perimeter, although his basketball IQ makes me cringe at times.
Crash will play his natural SF position in LA. When Bynum comes back, Gasol will go back to PF.

i would trade GW as soon as possible. i think his game but whenever i hear about someone with 3 or 4 documented concussions.. that probably means he's had 15 more that were undocumented. I'd take Lamar Odom for 1 year and let him expire.

I think you might see a different Lamar when he gets out from under Kobe's dictatorship. If you do one thing wrong, Kobe will yell at you whether you're a grizzled vet like Lamar or some young kid like Bynum.

Odom for GW straight up.. I'd do it. and if you don't like what Odom does, let him walk. There's always 4 or 5 Gerald Wallace type players on the market available thru trade or free agency.

We could get Odom, put him at SF, although he has game, Odom fades in and out far too much for me. If we do this We'd need to get a scoring 3 to replace Wallace with. Not a bad idea though b/c he does bring size, length, versatility, passing, and overall skill. He just doesn't have the killer instinct, but he is a nice player.

A straight up deal would be fair basketball wise, not sure how the salaries match.

how are Crash and odom on the same level? Crash is the superior player and one of my favorite players and I think i would die a little inside if he went to the lakers. Poor value coming to you guys anyway odom isn't a 4.

he also has had 4 documented concussions and probably another dozen undocumented, untreated incidents of brain trauma. Not good for a 26 yr old. I've read a lot about concussions and they do more than the average person thinks.

I'd be happy with Lamar Odom for 1 season and see if he deserves a new contract. He'd probably get along well with LB-- both NYC natives. I have to believe Lamar wants out of being constantly berated by the world's most overrated player Kobe Bryant who can't win anything without the Diesel.

If you acquire Odom, see how it goes for a year and you can always let his expiring deal walk.

He's still 25. (my birthday is just right after his, so I remember)
