Kyle Weaver article

You can't post that carolinacash - as good a read as it is.

It's a serious violation of RGM's terms and could land them in hot water.

Can you post some interesting items in point form?

Check out these videos if you have a chance.....the first one is Nate McMillan of the Blazers talking about Weaver's game and how he is similar to himself......starting watching at the 1:43 mark.

The bottom video on the link is Weaver's interview......seems like a great guy.

I personally think Kyle Weaver was the most underated player in this draft. I wanted to let you guys know that coming from someone that lives and follows the PAC 10 very closely. He will be a very good NBA player. Playing for Wazzu, you don't get a lot of exposure and he also played in a very methodical unselfish system so his stats don't tell the whole story. IMO he is Brandon Roy light, does a lot of things very well but nothing exceptional. Is talented enough to play the point or the 2 and was one of the top defenders on the perimeter in the PAC 10.

You guys should really check out some of his Youtube footage to get an idea of how skilled of a player he is.... here is one example:

"The earliest I would say would be Cleveland with the 19th pick. And then depending on need and what trades happen, he could also go in the second round," said Hodges. "I think everyone is looking at Kyle as a potential long term NBA player, that he'll be in the league 10-15 years barring no major injury."

"Talk about Gary Forbes or Mike Taylor, Kyle played against both of them in his workouts and he killed them," said Hodges. "I think Kyle is in that group with (Brandon) Rush, Courtney Lee...he has competed against and outplayed Brandon Rush in some places."

You got the guy I wanted. Congrats because that perimeter defense is just what the Raptors needed. He'll be your lockdown defender for years to come.

Bearnard Robinson Jr... haha I love it. I forgot about him. The youtube video is impressive. Good form on the jumper, nice ballhandling, apparently a good defender, and good size. He'll definitely get some playing time next year.

He's definitely a Larry Brown player. I doubt Bill Walker or CDR would have gotten any PT for Brown.

He came under radar, I didn't know much about him but now I LOVE THAT PICK! Watch the youtube videos, especially interviews, he is such a great person, he will make everybody feels better. If we were amazed by Dudley's personality last year, Kyle is even better. You can't dislike him.

Congratulations on Weaver, I pushed Weaver hard on the Raptors board for weeks now so far as to suggest we grab him with #17. I was so sad when you guys snapped him up. Now go sign his running mate Low before Dallas does.

Forget Bernard, there is a quote out there from his WSU coach comparing Weaver to the famous Robertson.

Bennett was asked which player of the past most reminds him of Weaver.

"Oscar Robertson?" Bennett said, laughing.

http://www.coughoops.com has lots of interesting background on Weaver.

I just wanted to come over to your boards to say how much you guys will fall in love with Weaver. He does all the little things right. He has a good character and he is always playing with a smile on his face. I have no doubt he has the skills to make the roster. I truly am jealous that he is now on the East Coast. Congratulations with a great pick up.

maybe alvin robertson would be more appropriate, but even that is a stretch.

i'll just stick to a poor mans nate mcmillan or a rich mans brj.

Any interest in trading him? We can offer Kris Humphries or Joey Graham or a future pick.

The Bobcats got the steal this year in the 2nd round. Kyle Weaver is the type of player that can come in and play right away. He would play great if you surround him with scorers. I think thats where you can really maximize his skills. I don't want to go too far ahead but maybe have him come off the bench with Felton, Morrison, and May.
