Augustin workout

This is why the Blazers created all those rumors! Because they couldn't get him with the 11th pick!

I was leaning towards Bayless early on with the 9th pick because DJ's size. But after more research, I think he wont have a problem (at least offensively). Lets cross our fingers that he can held his own defensively.

Nice read......I can't wait until everyone that is bashing the Bobcats draft to kiss my ass. I went to a pool party yesterday and every single idiot there bashed Augustin, Ajinca, and Weaver. All they say is man we could have had Bayless, Arthur, and CDR. Sports radio, message boards, sports websites, etc have all trashed the Bobcats as having one of the worst drafts. I'm a big gambler and visit covers.com.....they are trashing the Bobcats like crazy saying we will have the worst record in the NBA next year. WFNZ has made nicknames for Ajinca.....The Awful Tower, The Frenchie on the Benchie, French Toast. I just can't wait until they all kick butt.

Also, it does seem DJ is saying all the right things now on how he's happy to be a Bobcat but I think he had his sights set on playing for the Blazers. He seems in that video he hit it off with Nate McMillan and it is weird that his agent got him to workout for a team picking 13 but not 9. He was probably told the Blazers were going to trade up and pick him. I still think the Blazers wanted DJ and not Bayless. I don't blame him though....the Blazers are a nice situation with a team full of young talent including fellow Longhorn Lamarcus Aldridge.

Thats why we picked up Ajinca, to replicate LMA. Make him feel like he's playing for Portland. LOL
Seriously, I have to admit Blazers is the better team compared to Bobcats. But its tough trying to make the post season in the west. In the east... EVERYBODY HAS A CHANCE!

Just by that, I know even more now that Augustin can help the Bobcats offensively. The NBA is known for the pick and roll, both offensively and defensively, and guys coming from college should be prepared for it. Augustin looks like he can handle his own on offense. Defensively is where he will make a name for himself. If he can establish himself that he can stay in front of his man, he will be fine. His size does mean that teams are going to pick on him but this team already has shot blockers like Okafor and Wallace ready to come in and help out.
