No Prima Donna's On Our Team!!

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Wed Jul 2, 2008 12:07 am

Felts, Swish and Crash will be heading to Vegas to train with the team prior to SL.

Got to love that!

I respect that. Wallace and Swish going there are huge. While it's fun to look at fantasy trades, I'm starting to work my way more and more into the "we shouldn't mess with the roster" camp.

I love that about our guys. Nice to see three vets take it upon themselves to put the team and it's success over lounging around some beach.

Let's trade them!!!

Wonder where Mek is?

I was thinking the same. Then I realized that he is only under qualifyng offer. Maybe he is preparing some charity for Africa, he is this type of guy.

Thats a smart move. This team has had it pretty easy up to this point.

Its a smart move for Jason and Gerald, its a make or break type move for Raymond.

This is what I love about Jrich. He may not be a franchise player, but he works like he is nothing more than an average starter. On a talent level, I think he is at least in the same level as Redd.
No offense to Felton and Wallace, but it sure does seems like they have their own agenda. Felton doesn't want to be demoted to the bench over Augustine, and GW doesn't want to be traded. (Although last year Felton also played before training camp opened.)

Weird to see Felton missing all those wide open J's when it seems like he works pretty hard at it. confidence problem?

I agree on the "make or break", but Felts has went to SL every year hasn't he? I don't think he ever takes time off, think he's said a week, ten days before.

I always got the impression Crash took the most time off, but he said he worked hard on his jumper with the trainer last summer, and it did show. He's probably the most surprising of the three to me. Pretty sure Swish works hard in the offseason to improve something every year.

Mek? I know he does the Hakeem big man camp thing and Bernie's mentioned watching him out the window a couple summers before, but I've always wondered how much he works in the offseason. From our glorious local reporting you'd think I would know that already...

Raymond just love the game, he tried to get on SL roster every year.

I don't think they have their own agenda (maybe a little bit), last year after we obtain J-Rich, these three dined together as soon as Jason moved to Charlotte. It seems to me like they wanted to know each other, stick together and make things easier and improve the team.

We know that Felts is a gym rat and it's great to see that nothing will change that.

Hopefully Swish is working on those handles like he said he was going to at the end of the last game last season and he comes out in 2008 Joe Johnson like.

Not only do I hope that Crash is working on that J, I hope that he takes EO50's advice and starts doing some yoga over the summer and stretching so he is ready for the season.

Hopefully EO50 is shooting a million FT's a day leading up to the start of next season!

crash needs to get in better shape coming into training camp. that was one thing sam v mentioned abou crash. that and he never stretches.

not sure about mek. outside of the big man camps, never really heard anything about his offseason. i've never heard the broadcasting team say:

henry: "hey steve (martin), you can really tell all the hard work has paid off for okafor, thats his 3rd jumper of the night"
steph: "that's right henry, we talked to emeka today and he told me he spent five hours a day working on his mid range jumpers during the summer. he wouldnt leave the gym until he made 500 shots"
steve: "thanks steph"
