Great news. It's not surprising that Ajinca's leaving France, but it's good to see, because a lot of players who are "stashed" never make it back out of the stash. Hopefully he gets some playing time.

posting random ajinca comments in french = funny

i wrote "this is great news. go frenchie!", which according to babelfish translates as "c'est de grandes nouvelles. disparaissent le frenchie!"

but i think i like "disperse the france" and "disappear the frenchie" better.

so DISPERSE THE FRANCE!!!!

I thought Ajinca was going to develop in France first, but I guess the D-League is probably better.

the cats said from the minute they drafted alexis they planned to have him here next season. he had a small buyout. alexis is going to be LBs project. that cant happen if big frenchie is still in france. LB doesnt have time to waste.

No no no... In the D-league you found young players from second round (from seventeenth century) and fat vets; ProA, the french league is not the best league in Europe, but it's, by far, better than the d-league. Ian Mahinmi played last year in this league and finished in the all d-league team while he was not so good in the french league.

Anyway, Alexis signed, LB want to develop him (remember the tremendous job he did with Milicic, ahah). Now he will play some minutes on C or PF spot. He will commit a lot of mistakes, he will learn slowly, but he will. Petro played also more in his first year in Seattle than he played in France, and Ajinça seems to have a better potentiel.

fatlever, I hope my (translated) english is better than your french (if it is not, oops I'm sorry   ) : "C'est une grande nouvelle, allez le petit français !"

"disparaissent le frenchie" = beat it the frenchie

(and, It is not Anjinca ─ see the title of this topic ─ but Ajinça. ─ Que disparaissent cette "n")

All the "expert" pundants on draft night just made the assumption about Ajinca staying overseas. If any of them had actually been paying more attention to the team they would have known this to be untrue. It's the curse of a small market team that hasn't actually done well yet. Media types don't really know much about the team and tend to just repeat what other national media types who also don't know much say.

It can be a blessing sometimes, V_G. We don't have to be so hideous as the big teams and noone really knows what we are going to do...:)

I would omitt "petit", Limo. As far as I can say as non native speaker of both languges. I should re-learn my grammar school French, it could be handy once again:)

BTW - what's the short key (ALT+?) for "ç", if I don't want to switch keyboard settings each time I wrote about the prospect?

It's ALT + 135.
(Easy to remember, it's almost the IQ of every members in this forum ─ except me; what a toady!)

If you write AjinÇa, I vote for "Čharlotte Bobcats".

I think Ajinça's new nickname should in some way refer to the alt key, or 135. Maybe his number should be 35?
