2?
Felton/DJ
Richardson/Carrol/Brown
Wallace/Dudley/Morrison
May/Davidson
Okafor/Nazr/Hollins/Ajinca
I believe we have 1 spot
Larry Brown strikes me as a very orthodox, by-the-book kind of coach and the book says you need to have 3 guys that CAN play the point, if not neccesarily 3 pgs.
Another reason the Brown signing is a little odd, somebody must really like the guy.

Magloire is all kinds of done right now, btw........
He is in the Casino-greeter, just-make-sure-the-check-clears portion of his career.

My mistake man...Real GM has 13 players on the bobcats roster

Keep the roster spot open, for at least now.
Unless the impossible happens and Carl Landry or Delonte West are out for the taking (and houston or cleveland won't match), I just can't find any available player thats going to make some drastic posistive difference.
Mutumbo would be cool, but I see him as "houston or retirment".
PJ Brown would be great, but why keep playing?
At PG, the only guy worth bringing in is Chris Quinn (miami will match any reasonable offer) or Jannero Pargo (like hes going to sign as a 3rd stringer).
If a 3rd PG is added, I'd bet it would be someone like Kevin Ollie who would act more like a coach...and to me that would only happen in season.

Pargo signed with Dynamo Moscow.

I thought that was true, but I wasn't sure. Also, I was too lazy to look it up.

Why not make a offer to Landery . Doing nothing really sucks. The team really needs to do somthing . Its no way we smell the playoffs with our roster like it is . We got to have a P/F

I'm with you on Landry. Not sure he's exactly who I'd want in that spot though. it would be a gamble on extending a full MLE and multi-years on a guy whose game is limited offensively and with at least a ? around his knee. I think Houston might blink on a multi-year higher $ offer. It's a shame we weren't as aggressive early with Turiaf. Lakers didn't match him, and I doubt the Rockets would match on Landry. But both of those players are borderline starters. The question is, could Landry be groomed into one?

Landry would fit in. I'm not sure how happy I'd be about our two most likely starting caliber pfs both having knee issues though.

Landry and Brandon Bass(Still available?) would fit well. I'm curious to hear from Houston/Dallas fans whether or not their teams would match a MLE offer.

Bass would be perfect.

Yeah I'd like Bass even better. So why not make that play? Especially now, well before training camp? They get 7 days to match the offer, and if they do you move on to the next guy (Landry). I know you have to reach a deal with them in order to make this happen, so is part of the problem the team itself? If so we need MJ getting off his rich a** and making personal calls and scheduling meetings with these guys and their agents. As great as Michael was, all former players have a rate of diminishing influence as the years go by. MJ's needs to use that "fame capital" now while he's still got a lot of it.

The reason I haven't ever mentioned Bass is because he's listed as Limited Salary Protection, which to me means he's not a fa, but the Mavs have the option of waiving him before 10/1 if they want to free up marginal cap space (they don't).

That's been my impression too...I don't think other teams can approach him.

Thanks Walt..I didn't know about his status. In fact I've never heard of that status before. Sounds kinda like Super Secret Probation.
I do think Hollins contract is guaranteed since we extended him a qualifying offer and he accepted it.
