Swift was traded to the Nets last year. He is in the last year of his contract this upcoming season at around $6M.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

God I hope not. Swift played pretty meager with the Nets last year and really has never been anything more then ok. This would probably be the best time to trade for him, seeing as hes an expiring. But since he is an expiring, I really can't see the Nets trading him. I think its more likely that they hang onto him as "insurance" until the season ends or its in their best interest to waive him (Say he becomes a problem for them).

He would be a solid pickup if the Bobcats were simply looking for a back up PF but since they need a fulltime starter and in my opinion they need that starter to be the 3rd offensive option he isn't nearly good enough.
