Felton's turn

Post#1 » by Felton for Pres » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:44 pm

His video is up on the site. I may be off on this, but he seemed awfully quick to point out that DJ was coming off the bench. I'm guessing my boy isn't too thrilled about that draft choice (I know, I know, of course he isn't).

Felton is going to step up this year. But i want to see one of the games they play. It looks more entertaining than a normal game.

Swish and Felts worked out together over the summer. Who DIDN'T Swish spend time with? He's doing everything he can to be the glue for this team and lead us. The kid is a champ. We are so lucky to have him!

I see they had footage of him dropping that little tear drop three or four times in practice. He started showing that touch at the end of last season - I love it. If he can master that, it'll draw a lot of defender and open up easy cuts for Swish, Crash and EO50.

That is the most animated I've ever seen Felts in the interview. It was really impressive and seems like he is ready to take it up a step.

That's pretty cool how they've been doing these off-season videos. Answers a lot of questions. These guys have basically been in training camp for like half the summer and it could end up giving us a real advantage coming out of the door. The attitude seems different and there's a lot more structure to this team. The NY team was not a good fit for larry, too many veteran egos with attitudes. This is a young team with lots of talent and high basketball IQ's, I think this team could surprise some people in the league this year. I'd like to think of us as the official dark horse.

I thought it was interesting that he said:

"LB is going to be very strict... it's what we need to get over the hump..."

Interesting. All I'm saying. I think Felton is happy to know, for once, exactly what is expected of him.

I have to say that May, from the snatches we keep seeing of him, does look...well, you know..like, almost healthy looking.

Never heard "Bobcats" and "high BB IQ's" in the same sentence together before. Hope you are right.

From the Video it looks like DJ is getting abused....

I don't know if that speaks well of Felton or Badly of DJ...

Well, looks like DJ needs to adjust his style defensively! But offensively he also played pretty well from the short video clip ...
Again not sure if it speaks highly of DJ or badly for Felton ...

Don't read too much into the short video snips we see. These guys work hard but they also aren't always pressing to the max either. At this stage it's really just working on timing, getting into game shape, working on developing chemistry and knowing what each player does best and where to get them the ball. Defense is important but that will get jacked up a bunch once LB is on their butts every day at practice.

I do appreciate these videos...nice work by the Bobcats on their website. We are so starved for information...having our guys interviewed and mixed with video is great.

I'm starting to think May jsut might be healthy enough to give us starter minutes by opening night (barring a setback). I can't believe I just said that, but he does look pretty mobile in these vids. I haven't seen anything from Ajinca...gotta hope he's getting lots of help from other bigs and the coaches.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I'm excited to see what Ray can do with the team this year. No more excuses.

I think Cats can take Toronto's spot in the eastern playoffs this season.

Speaking of Ajinca, I think we totaly wasted our pick on that guy. I hope I'm wrong, but how is this dude turning into a quality PF?

I'm sure the Kings fans said the same thing about Crash turning into a quality SF when they drafted him and look how that worked out.

How about we give the kid a little time before we shoot him down?

Yeah, you are wrong. Give him a few months at least. You will be a believer. I promise! If you are not, contact me at inyourdream@sucker.net and I'll send you $1000 over paypal.

Is Felton gonna get an extension before the season starts?
