30 Teams In 30 Days: Charlotte Bobcats

Post#1 » by Boston34Celtics » Sat Sep 27, 2008 4:45 am

Here we go, it's that time of year. Basically what I'm doing is making decent-sized team previews, one per day in alphabetical order. Today's featured team is your Charlotte Bobcats.

Teaser:

After four years of harping in the basement of the NBA with both Bernie Bickerstaff and Sam Vincent on the sidelines, the Charlotte Bobcats organization has finally said “enough is enough.” Replacing Vincent as the team’s new head coach is none other than “Mr. Quick Fix” himself – Larry Brown, who signed a four-year contract with the club in late April. Brown, who has coached championships at both the NBA and NCAA level, will bring an entirely new dimension and attitude to this four-year-old franchise. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Brown’s no-nonsense, “may way or the highway” style will mesh with such a young nucleus… or better yet, whether or not Brown will be able to handle it.

I think you did a great job. I agree that Felton is going to be key to our success and probably establishes our ceiling as a team, but you could make an argument that Sean May is as the x-factor. I probably would've had our PF as our weakness and used May for x-factor, but what you had in there is certainly just as accurate.

Nice piece. Its nice to see a writeup that is not taking cheap shots at us.

Word of advice to the OP. Ditch the grey text color on your site. It's way too low contrast. I took one look at the page and left without reading it, because it is too hard on my eyes.

Pretty good breakdown IMO. Unlike many I've read so far it seems the author might actually know something of what he's written about.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

And floppymoose, good observation. We'll look into that.

This was fixed. The text is now black. Thanks for your suggestion. 8-)

Actually, it's not black. But it is at least darker. Thanks for that.
