I had been feeling pretty good the last few weeks. McMay had been working out, he was in early with the rest of the team, I was thinking maybe, just maybe..............

Then the LB footage today and this obvious omen has me feeling all glum again!

I know right, let's just hope it was because May was too big to fit in the picture with the others and it's not the omen we're thinking it is!

hmmmm....interesting solution to our hole at the 4.....

Maybe we could "Start" Ray,Swish,Crash,Mek and have another player be our designated cherry-picker standing at the other end of the court on defense. we'd be playing 4 on 5, but most missed shots would be a layup at the other end. (I guess we would need to get the rebound too. details....)

Brilliant!!!

Really....would YOU have any confidence in McMay to put him in your "starting line-up photo???

The search will get more intense if the 4's we start with aren't up to snuff. Larry will look to make a trade, and I've got to believe Crash is still the #1 suspect to get swapped. In fact, if things go rough in the early stages I would suggest LB would trade Crash (and maybe another guy...May?) for a quality defensive SG and a decent starting-level PF. This would move J-Rich to SF, add a lockdown defender at starting SG, and finally a REAL starter at PF!

OK, ..., I know it's just a scenario, but it could happen. Actually, I want this team to do well, and this scenario could still be done if the team is having some success. It probably comes down to 2 things:

1. Can Wallace play and contribute in Larry's way? If not he creates an issue.

2. Does the 4 spot become a huge black hole liability?

Back in the day, that strategy won me many "March Madness" NCAA championships on PS1. It worked wonders, since my team couldn't shoot or hit FTs...hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea for us.

My ticket guy called me last week to see if I was interested in being a "player escort" during media day yesterday. Basically I'd shuttle them from spot to spot. I was of course excited to do it, but unfortunately can't leave the office from 11-3 when the market is melting down.

Looks like I missed a big day. I should've asked who I would've babysat. I blew it, I know.

Show some respect, sir.

Around here, please refer to May as "lard-ass doughnut-sucking wood-warming workout-avoiding sweet-shooting temporarily-teasing sack of festering maggot-infected crap"

If you would, sir.

I hate that I'm quoting myself, but no response? I thought this was a great pun. It adds all sorts of life to the whole, beaten into the ground (but apt) McMay nickname. I was so proud of myself when I typed it into the quick reply box, but I get nothing.

Tough crowd these days.

Honestly, I almost wrote back saying it was a great one.

Then I got distracted and didn't.

Sorry.

I'll use it from now on. I promise. In fact, I like it so much I might claim I invented it. How's that for props?

You're so generally snarky that I'll assume you're being facetious.
