Very interesting that both Boozer and Ray are listed in the Top 10 of who may get traded. If there was a way, I'd give Ray up for Boozer and let DJ run the show from Day 1. He could handle it if he had the other starting 4 being J-Rich, Crash, Boozer and Okafor. That would be a very solid 5. And we would have a pretty solid group of bench players.
Edit: By the way, it would have to involve a 3rd team with the salary issues involved with any trade

Re: Interesting article
I read that article too and I was thinking about doing a post in the big board seeing what teams/fans would have any interest in Felton...no way we could get Boozer for him tho' so thats a pipe dream. I honestly dont think no one our team right now has very much value unless the other team really wants to get rid of someone or we get fleeced...I've been a die hard Bobcats fan from day 1..the whole "The Pick" & "Okafor in '04" campaigns...but honestly speaking I think this team sucks....JRich is our best player and I have never been a big JRich fan...dont think he is a franchise player and dont think he ever will be he likes to chuck the ball too much & doesnt attack the basket for my taste, if the game is on the line I dont really get that were going win feeling w/ him as the go-to guy, he makes a good 2nd or 3rd option...like GS during their playoff run. If not for DJ's height and inexperience I think I feel more comfortable with him at the point. Nobody on this team has really showed me anything, Okafor was supposed to be the cornerstone but he is a defensive guy and thats about it, Felton just doesnt do it for me or apparently the front office, May I liked talent-wise but seems to lack the work ethic or desire, Morrison never should have been the 3rd pick (BTW do you guys realize that that has been the highest lottery pick we have had in our existence #3, we traded up to get Okafor at #2 we were originally #4 and we used the 3rd pick on Morrison..while Im not ready to call him a complete bust cuz I think he can find a place in the league when you have a top 3 pick that is where you find your cornerstones for you franchise), Crash is a role player paln and simple should be nuthin more than a #3 option or defensive specialist on a contender a la Tayshaun Prince....I'm just not sold that we have anything more than a bunch of role players who put up decent numbers because we have no other options....

Re: Interesting article
Rockets fan here who read the article as well.. It states that ya'll should get something for him now before he hits free agency. Well we need a back up PG BADLY. Felton would be perfect. Do you think expiring contracts are good enough?
Steve Francis(expiting) and Chuck Hayes (2 year left on his deal but our best post defender and excellent rebounder) for Felton?
And before I get flamed, I understand this isnt the best offer in the world. I'm just trying to gauge where ya'll think Ray's value really is...

Re: Interesting article
It's Chad Ford, and this pretty much works off of what he said right after the draft.
LB said people were calling HIM, and it was confirmed that Cleveland and Sacramento (I think...might have been a different team) both asked and was told neither PG was up for a trade.
Like we'd go into the season with one PG, and him being a rookie. Hey, I know...we could always bring Tinsley or Marbury in for depth!

Re: Interesting article: Felton is on Chad Ford's Trade List
This whole discussion is brain dead.
We only have two point guards on the team. That's it. I mean, that's IT. One of them is a rookie, and undersized at that. We trade Felton for what? Another, better point guard? Who exactly would make that trade? And who is that other PG?
Of for a power forward, and we go into the season with a rookie PG and some PG scrub picked up from somewhere in desperation? It's all insanity. Felton might well be traded, but it will only be after the season is at least half over, and 1) he has improved his value, and 2) DJ has proved he's a #1 option, and 3) somebody offers a really nice trade for Felton.
Anything else is pure unadulterated stupidity.

Real cost cutting; Sean May for David Lee. We re-up Lee, they waive May. Two birds, one stone, yadda yadda.
Francis/Hayes for Raymond Felton-
Rather then go into the whole "that trade is horrible....." garble. I'll say this. The Bobcats are not looking to unload Felton. The team would trade him with the right offer, but they aren't desperate to dump him.
