God I hope this is just his random speculation. I don't mind Linton, but hes not anything special.

Rick says both that "Linton is supposed to take a physical Tuesday" and "The Bobcats could also be looking for another big man with a defensive presence".

He honestly might as well have named some PG who could just became available to "triple crown" this article.

I actually read that as III (Linton Johnson the third) was a lock and that there might be more cuts/FA signings or trades to bring in a big man with a defensive presence?

I think I have figured it all out though. All the Bobcats brass are on a power trip.

Larry BROWN gets Shannon BROWN
Bob JOHNSON gets Linton JOHNSON

If I wake up tomorrow and we have signed Jared Jordan I am out of here.

This makes me want to puke! At least Jermareo showed hustle and was working on a nice little 12 ft jumper. There better be more to this, cause I feel like puking! And I'll video it and post it to show how I feel about dumping Jermareo for Linton. Yuck!

Great stuff. You've DEMANDED change for almost two weeks now and when they make change, you threaten to puke and video it!!

And now all of a sudden Davidson was a quality player that we are going to miss because of his hustle and 12 footer??????

That must be why he couldn't get any burn at all under LB..................even though we didn't have any real alternates?

I guess the idea was to give guys training camp/preseason to impress and then cut the guys that couldn't hang. I guess Johnson is a bit small (listed at 205 lbs) to play the 4 full time, but we have Nazr, Mek and Brown for the bigger guys.

Hollins, Cookie, and Shannon Brown better have their resumes ready.....

Hollins is the biggest waste of a roster spot in the history of the Bobcat franchise. They should trade him for a used pair of odor eaters.

I CANNOT believe we didn't get Austin Croshere after he was waived by Indiana!! This guy is a veteran who could have given us quality minutes at the 4, can shoot, and would compliment EO50 pretty well. The Bucks pick him up. Why would they need him?

I am all for dumping salary and poor players in Davidson, Hollins and maybe Shannon Brown (still need a 3rd PG/true swing player). I really hope this is in advance of a trade to get the starting PF we need. Getting Johnson to be a defensive-minded 3 is good. Who goes in a deal? It's got to be either a biggie involving Crash, or a smaller deal that sends Morrison out the door (and if you must go please take May with you).
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Because they are about to trade CV to us for Ammo and needed a starting PF?

You are thinking what I dare to hope...that CV would come to us in a deal. I don't think Skiles is entirely happy with his mix and would like to shake some things up, but what would Morrison do for them? If they somehow see Joe Alexander as a PF (I certainly don't) then maybe they'd do it. I don't see much depth at the 4 with Charlie gone. Maybe we'd send them Ammo and McMay for CV and Damon Jones?

Jones and the Bucks are both looking for a trade scenario to get him moved as Milwaukee doesn't need him. Jones is not a great player by any means and is expensive but in the final year of his contract ($4M range). But he does represent a veteran swing player that could be the type of player LB wanted when he signed Shannon Brown. i don't think Charlie is in the Buck's long range plans but he is a player with value and much more productive than May. Croshere is a veteran with skills but he is best served coming off the bench. Alexander could start at the 4 next to Jefferson and Gadz but that's a small front line. In any case the trade works via TRADE CHECKER (Trade ID #4790520).
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

How about Joe Smith? he is an expiring after this year. He is the type of player you want until you find your PF of the future.

Sure, so long as his price tag is something very much on the cheap.

And by cheap, I mean that if we still had Davidson, I'd trade them straight up for each other cheap.

I can't see OC Thunder asking for more than a 2nd round pick. The problem is he makes $4.7M and the Thunder might want to keep him as a vet, oldest player on OC's roster at 33.

I just check trade checker, and Linton Johnson is on there already

Hammer as in Matt Carroll? deal, call MJ and make it happen! Joe Smith would be that quality PF we need.
