LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
Everybody knows we have no pf who can compete in the level of nba.
frankly speaking, i don't expect sean may will come back in good shape soon.
1st solution.
so we need trade and who's gonna in and out ?
i read that many bobcats fans disagree g-force trade.
i prefer his defense like u but who has trade-value except him. and we have dudly, linton (maybe downgrade version of g-force) can minimumlize to lost g-force.
adam morrison & matt carrol they are simmilar type guy
and as u know, adam showed us some improvement throughtout the preseason.
at any way, one guy should be traded, but it will be very difficult matt carrol to be traded because of long contract.
so if we can acquire true pf (it's ok though he is not star player) one guy between g-force and matt carrol should be traded.
2nd solution.
give more time to okafor& nazr lineup.
larry brown see both as centers. but okafor& nazr lineup much better than okafor& may.
and give more time to rookie alexis. i know alexis not ready but better than watching fat may.
plz larry don't use small lineup too much i dislike u use augustin& ray together.
thank for ur reponds ....

Like someone else said, most teams would want crash but not at the amount he is making. They have tried all summer to trade him without success. Felton is about to be become a bust. At Least DJ has the excuse of being a rookie. Why can't we play Nazr with Okafor together? It would be better than the current line up.
The curse of Higgins!

Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
That trade idea isn't bad. Here is my concern big picture with the team.
We have Crash, J-Rich, Carroll, Okafor and Nazr all with substantial high and long contracts. We will have to reup Felton next yr or he becomes a FA the next. We are hamstrung for the next few years from doing ANYTHING substantial unless we get rid of the over priced contracts. IMO, only J-Rich lives up to his contract. I've heard so many people here whine about not breaking up the core. Folks, our "core" is avg at best. Breaking them up to free up money and bring in new people into the mix and have the chance to land a significant All-Star caliber player besides J-Rich would not be a bad thing.
If we think that the so called "core" of this team is Playoff caliber, we are fooling ourselves. No one wanted to touch Artest, but he's kicking ass tonight for Houston. Everyone blasts Zach R. in NY, but the SOB is a solid 20-10 every year. And we talk about Okafor like he's one of the elite, when he has not improved since his Rookie year. We over value Crash, who is good, but he's not great. Ray is an AVG PG at best, and will lose his starting role by year's end. Carroll and Nazr are way overpaid. Our draft history is well documented to be "horrific" at best. A lot needs to be done to fix this mess. I believe LB can do it, but only if MJ and Bob give him the leeway to do it. My bet is if you asked him, LB would keep Richardson and DJ and then trade the rest for new pieces.

I stopped reading your most recent complaint filled post at "No one wanted to touch Artest". I, along with a number of other posters, were all over the possibility of Artest becoming a Bobcat. Short memory, or are you trying to cover up that you were in the "no one" group?

I do not recall many at all wanting him as they felt he was a locker room cancer. But if you were pushing for him, then I give you credit and stand corrected. As for my posts, if you truly do read, then you know full well I don't mask my feelings on who on this team plays well and who is a waste. Sorry you dont read the full posts as you might find things you agree with.

Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
Ohara..first let me say that I admire your tenacity I agree with you on most of your posts but I am starting to believe this is a lost cause...first the team management doesnt seem to care when it is soooo obvious that this team needs improving & where those improvements should be....secondly this community doesnt really seem to be at all interested because ownership & management seem to not be interested in building a winner, I was born in raised in NC but I attended college at VA Tech, I decided to move back to NC to be closer to family & as Dorothy said there is no place like home so I chose Charlotte based on my love of sports particularly the Panthers and the NBA when I heard we were getting another NBA team I was all in so I moved back here in 2004...lastly, this isnt a real active board and the regular posters I see in here while I respect all there opinions because we all seem to be true Bobcats fans alot seem to be in denial that right now this team is just flat out horrible...spin it however you want I have played, seen and coached alot of basketball in my 32 years on this planet and while I will never be the next Jerry West or Red Auerbach I like to think I know basketball talent and this team just doesnt have alot of it...as much as it hurts my heart and pride to say it I think that if this team stays the same we have the worst team in the NBA....yeah I said it, write it down, take a pic I dont give a damn but if no significant moves are made I want dibs on being the first to say it....I mean take off your Bobcats blinders for a minute, JRich is our best player...think about that for a minute with all do respect to JRich as he was a BEAST last year he is our best player, he couldnt lead the Warriors to the playoffs until they got Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson & Monta Ellis and he became like the 3rd or 4th option now somehow people expect him to lead our resurrection...come on man be serious!! We dont have alot of assets either as our Front Office has been horrible when it comes to drafting, whether it be by their own mistakes(drafting Morrison ahead of Roy, Gay etc.) or ones they cant control (cant really blame them for Orlando taking DHoward before Emeka or the Hornets/Jazz taking CP3 & DWilliams and us being stuck with Felton) we are kinda stuck between a rock and hard place as Gerald Wallace is probably our "franchise" player if you will, meaning he's been here from Day 1, the fans love his hustle and effort and we couldnt afford to let him leave via free agency getting nothing in return so we probably overpaid him now he is probably the main guy other teams want in return when we talk trade but not at that price tag we created...my man Carolina Cash that I agree with alot said in an earlier post Crash & Carroll for Boozer...think about that do you not think Utah could get more in return for a proven all star then 2 guys with long contracts that have proven nothing?... in all honesty Crash on a true, honest-to-goodness playoff team is no more than a 4th option, a defensive specialist it is debatable if he is as good as Tayshaun Prince who on a championship team was the 4th/5th option, but we kinda "had" to pay him like he was a top tier player same with Emeka & Carroll. Alot of people blame last year solely on the shoulders of Sam Vincent but I checked the boxscores and he didnt play one minute, miss one shot, commit one turnover...at some point the players have to be accountable....forget being positive be honest, I think we all agree hindsight being 20/20 we would stay away from drafting May, but is Emeka really better than he was his rookie year? Is Raymond Felton a PG you think can lead a team to the playoffs?(--on a side note I give on this guy Felton is thrash, he will never amount to anything more than a solid backup PG in this league)
I will be in attendance at the first home game...if you are there I would like to meet you, sports fans alot of times "cant see the woods thru the forest" of some S*#t like that, I like that in my opinion you are one the realest posters on this board...alot of times the stuff you post is the same things that me & my boys talk about at work or at the games when it comes to the Bobcats...right now this team is a joke and I hate when people always try to paint it out like we are a true playoff contender....

I know pre season really "doesn't matter", but come on 0-8. Thats gotta be getting in the players heads. if we go 2-10 or 4-25 maybe then somebody will finally "breakup the core".
Until then... Ho hum more of the same..

Get Rasheed. He's a better fit than Boozer.

We need better players, I'm starting to lean towards the camp of everyone should be shopped except J-Rich and Okafor.

Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
Do the Harrington trade.
Bring back Bernie.
Bring back Knight.
And I'm not even being sarcastic.
We'd be a lot better than we are right now. Brown may eventually make this team better, but it's obvious he has set us back, at least in the short term, especially on offense.
I'm not in favor of completely dismantling the team, just because we had a crappy coach last year, and because we now have a coach that is forcing players to play his way, instead of the way they have been used to playing. Maybe it works out later on, but it hasn't worked out so far. And it would be a pretty stupid idea to break up the team, so we can bring in players that work in a specific coach's system, when that coach isn't one to last long with any one team.
Most of these "solutions" will just set us back in the long-term anyway. Might as well sit back, and hope the team "gets it" before too long. And if they don't, well, maybe we get another opportunity at adding a franchise player through the draft.

W_Hamilton I feel ya cuz,im not for breaking up the whole team either.I jus think its funny how some people can say gforce isnt worth keeping when he and jrich have been our best players, last year and this pre-season.Like I was saying i only see three untouchables(jrich, gforce, and okafor) Dj and alexis get a pass because they are rookies and im still interested to see what they can do,Listen gforce is like our scottie pippen, jrich is like our mj,and okafor i our horace grant feel me where im going with this.Mj for all the many things he did well, didnt win until scottie and horace got their, mjscored the points alla jrich, scottie played defense and scored when needed to, to pick up the slack when mj was tired or was a little off or not in the game alla gforce, and horace grant was the grunt grabbing rebounds, defending the paint puttin back misses ans setting screens alla okafor. All im saying is this fellas and I to im born and bred in Carolina,Havelock to be more exact,we have the three pieces lets not fool ourselves,we have the coach,we are just missing those few pieces around them to get us over the hump. Before I forget gforce should have been an all-star last year, but we all know that this is a popularity league and when you got a kg,lbj,cb4,jsmoove,rsheed,tprince,of course he's gonna get over looked cause the people he's competing aganist are on winning ball clubs, but lets not forget gforce put up all-star numbers(19.4ppg,2.1spg,3.5apg,6.0rpg and hell lets trow in the 1.0bpg)so like i was saying we have three untouchable pieces.

Yep, I agree. We can trade Wallace for Boozer, then we have another player (like Richardson) who we just give the ball to, and stand there and watch them while they try to do something. That doesn't make a team successful. There are fundamental problems out there, a lot of which has been caused by the coaching. Whether or not it ends up working out for us, we'll have to wait and see. But it's obviously not working right now. There's absolutely no reason this team should be an offensive disaster, which it is right now. When you tell people to stop playing like they have, and force things they aren't used to doing, that is going to cause problems, and that's what we are seeing now.

I'm mentally exhausted from trying to figure out how to unbreak this team. I think we just need to get lucky in the draft or pull off a BS trade like Boston and Detroit did.

Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
i just want to point out one thing. yes, we are 0-9 counting our preseason games, but of those 9 games, we have played 9 playoff teams from last year, 6 road games and played games against: the lakers (twice - both in CA), orlando (twice - one away), at PHX, at CAVs, at atlanta. yeah, its still 0-9, but at least 7 of those 9 games have been really tough... exceptions being home v the hawks and vs the wizards (i think it was away). and we blew a 20pts lead in that hawks game. its a tiny silver lining, but its something.

This may be a little out there but is Boris Diaw still on the trading block? I know the guy has a big contract but he seems like a player we could really use. From what I've read he's a high BBIQ power forward with good passing skills and defense. I don't know what the Suns needs are, maybe they could use a backup center to play behind Shaq (Nazr) and looking to clear space like they always seem to be doing (May....expire/waive/whatever you do to rookie contracts)

Re: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE SOLUTION.
To get a good player with a big contract, we need to give up a good player with a similar contract. We're gonna have to let go of Wallace if we want to score a deal with any of these guys I'm afraid.
