I'm positive that was a planned play. Our default is "Felton holds until 6 seconds and drives and prays for a foul." This time Felton called SB over and confused the defense I think, then swung it over to a relatively wide open Ammo.

Good one. Ammo is pretty tall, even for NBA guys.

We actually scored on a final play for the half!!!!!!

And seriously...I think we actually planned it that way!!!!

Yea, it was nice to see the play develop and end in points for a change. I've seen one of the two before from that cats, but never both :D

And get this...it wasn't Felton taking the shot!

After 3 years we finally got a coach who's realized that the "shooters" are called that for a reason.

We really, really, really, really need to close this game out strong and keep up a double figure lead for the entire 2nd half.

It would be very good for our confidence.

The players or the fans?

Some of us know it's going to take some time. I for one am very impressed that they've played this well this soon. If we can keep the lead thru the next half it'll just speed up the process a little quicker.

How good would Beasley have been for us.

I seem to remember Emeka not struggling scoring on strong post defenders as much as TALL post defenders. He looks good tonight, but Haslem is the only Heat member that can make a claim at being a good post defender and he doesn't have much height.

Agreed.

The thing that kills him is that when he makes his post move, especially that baby hook, he makes his move away from the hoop rather than towards it. So essentially he is always shooting off balance and almost as a fade away.

It makes no sense. He needs to make his move towards the hoop, not away from it.

That's what I would tell him at least!!

Swish without a single rebound as yet.

Interesting.

That assessment would support mine too for sure. Fading away means solid/strong defenders only give him headaches if they're so long that it limits his vision/body movement.

I didn't realize this, but now I'll look for it. It'd make sense to keep Jrich away from the basket and release quickly to try and start a break, especially in this matchup where our lack of height isn't so detrimental on the glass.

If only Dude was 3 or 4 inches taller then we wouldn't have a problem at the 4 spot!!
