(if anyone knows how to actually post this graphic rather than just a link to it, please do!!)

I know it's oly been 4 games, and stats rarely tell the whole story, but what sticks out to folks so far?

For me:

DJ has taken the 2nd most 3pt attempts for our team through 4 games.

Swish is shooting 90% from the ft line, but only with 3 attempts per game.

Crash is getting to the line 9 times a game and shooting at t clip of 73%

Hammers 8:48mis per game, 25% from the floor and zero 3pt attempts

Short of EO50 and Crash, we are terrible on the boards

Felts shooting 44% from the floor

I prefer this page:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHA/2009.html

Mek shooting 61% (!!) I'll take 13ppg 11rpg and 1.5 blks on .613 with excellent all around defense. Where did this idea that he wasn't playing well come from?

Crash has a fantastic ts% of .647 and a per of 23.1

Jynx has an unfathomable 25.7 rebounds per 36 !!!!!!

also 10.3 turnovers per 36 and its in only 7 minutes but nonetheless.....

Strangely enough it seems that this team has reversed completely from the preseason, the problems are now on defense. (and rebounding)

Also just noticed that the Bobcats are 30th out of 30 teams in pace factor....

Which means we have the slowest (playing) team in the league !!!

Some team trends...
29th of 30 pace (not sure why Knickerblogger is different from basketball-reference on that)
14th ranked offense
21st in eFG%
26th in TOs (i.e., bad)
But, our saving graces: 3rd in ORR, #1 in FT/FG

21st defense
20th in eFG% allowed
22nd in TOs forced (surprising since we've been so good at that over the years)
26th in DRR
16th in FT/FG allowed.

So, to sum up, we are an average offense that shoots badly and turns it over a lot, but makes up for it by getting to the line and getting second-chance baskets. We are a below-average defense in every category, except that we don't foul too terribly much.

i dont think anyone (or at least not me) would say mek is not playing well. he is playing like he always does. i think the frustration comes from seeing another year where it doesnt appear that mek has made any improvements to his game (outside of maybe improving ft% a tad). it also doesnt appear that he will will transform into a better statistical player under brown's system and he doesnt appear to be an impact player able to guarantee us wins through is play alone... translated he doesnt make his teammates better. and now we are paying him big time money. so, mek will continue to to what he has always done, rebound, play defense and score inside 3feet at a high%, but he wont be adding a jumper, adding new post moves, passing better, carrying the team on his back, becoming a leader, becoming a marketing stud etc... in short, he is a good big man, getting paid like a great big man. no shame in that. there are tons of teams who have paid good big men, great big man money in hopes they will one day become great. i can live with good..... for now. and if we decide to trade him one day, it should be easy to do so.

I figured we'd be 30th in eFG%. It seems we are shooting so badly.

The defense is better from last year but can still be greatly improved.
