“When Bob wants to step aside, I have no problem stepping in and saying, ‘Hey, look, I’d love to take control of this franchise.’ But Bob, he’s not at that point now. He still enjoys owning the basketball team.”

“We've got a lot of perimeter players that duplicate each other,” Jordan said. “From Adam (Morrison) to Matt (Carroll) to Jared (Dudley). … I think that's what Larry (Brown, the Bobcats' new coach) is trying to battle with. And we have no big presence in the middle other than Emeka.”

Raymond – a lot of it has to do with his whole financial thoughts, what his (next) contract is going to be, how much he's going to make and what should he do to try and impress me, and the coach, and all that other stuff. When, in essence, all he has to do is play his game and make sure everybody else understands what they're supposed to do on the court. And he's trying, don't get me wrong. He's one of the hardest (workers) we have.

I'm definitely looking for a big guy. And I'm always looking to try and get a third point guard. Shannon Brown has been a blessing stepping in for us, but he's more of a two guard

good to hear from MJ from time to time. he really seems to be making the effort to get more involved this season. he's been courtside for 4 of our 5 games.

So basically he wants to buy the team from Bob and also make some trades. It'll be interesting to see the PG battle play out this year too. The Felton comment reads to me like he wants more consistancy of good play out of Felton.

Everyone says Crash is the one being dangled for trade and I agree that of them all he would net the best return.

But why...when you have 4 SFs and MJ says 3 of them are "players that duplicate each other"...would you get rid of the one player who brings what the others don't? Would the downgrade at the 3, and it absolutely will be one, truly be offset by Harrington/Bargnani/Gooden/Curry (LOL!)/Frye/Diogu?

I don't think so.

See the difference between mj giving interviews and bob doing it? Bob has no pr skills and should stop giving out interviews about this team. He only makes things worst. Let mj handle that.

There were some brutally honest statements in that Q&A.

Felts chasing a contract, Ammo will get tossed aside if he doesn't prove MJ right and Dude is at best a deep rotation player.

You don't really read that sort of stuff from a managing director of VIP's president to the assistant chair basketball legends part owner.

** On Jared Dudley, who has been starting for the Bobcats this season:
MJ: Ultimately -- I know Jared would never want to take this approach -- I’d love for Jared to be our eighth, 9th, 10th guy. But now he’s starting for us. That’s a little bit out of whack. He’s doing a lot. He’s doing a great job. Don’t get me wrong.

yeah, thats blunt... but he's right. on a deep playoff team, dudley is your second team energy guy.

** On whether he still believes in Adam Morrison, who he took with the No.3 overall pick of the 2006 NBA draft:
MJ: I know a bunch of people say that’s a bad pick for us. I don’t think so yet. It’s too early. Obviously Brandon Roy [the sixth pick from the 2006 draft] looks great. A lot of guys behind him look great…. I’m going to stick with Adam. He has a basketball IQ and a passion for the game. I think he’s going to provide us with something that makes us proud… Now if doesn’t happen that way, obviously we cut our ties and move forward.

jordan w/ the green light to spend up to lux tax limit in the right deal.

of course you cant just add 11 mil in salary, but we could re-sign a player and then make a trade. obviously we are talking long term stuff here.

jordan has the option to opt out of his deal with bob at the end of this year.
