Will Crash Be Traded?

Simple yes or no poll. Not where to, not who for, just if you think he will still be a Bobcat by the end of the season.
Will Crash be traded?

FTR: I went with no. Can't see MJ signing off on a deal that sends Crash out and brings in one of the stiffs that has been rumored and I don't think that Crash has the value to bring in an All Star so I think eveything remains status quo.

Definitely. He isn't connecting with Brown. The only time he is doing good is when he is anarchy mode and "let me play my own game". Morrison and Dudley are playing well and are much better at their roles on offense. We have to make a choice about whether we are going to build around Larry Brown's system or Gerald Wallace. We also have a gigantic gap at PF that we are playing Wallace and Dudley at PF/C for substantial minutes.

I went with No.
Also, I don't think that Gerald and LB are mutually exclusive entities on this team. I think they can easily coexist, and I think that Gerald's improved team defense is evidence of that. Additionally, when Gerald talked to LB about playing a little looser, Larry was fine with it and even mentioned it in the press conference in a joking matter.
We clearly need a PF, but I don't think sending Crash somewhere for any of the available-for-trade PFs out there will make our team better. I think Larry realizes this, and he'll keep MJ from making too rash a move.

I'm with you on not selling low....I wouldn't trade him for Harrington or Curry straight up... it would have to be an enticing package, and I'd happily pull the trigger. You don't trade Gerald Wallace just to trade him.

This poll isn't about what we as fans would do but more so what we think the outcome will be.

Too much smoke. There has got to be fire.
We just don't know the exact deal yet.

I expect something will happen, I just hope it's not the typical us fans flipping out over the Bobcats making another (Please Use More Appropriate Word) deal.
I'm holding out hope it's for Boozer!

Im gonna have to go with yes he will be traded.... I dont necessarily think it will be soon,
as Larry is still in the feeling out process...I dont want to lose Crash but this team needs to improve and he probably has the highest value of anyone & I dont really see this team getting any better without a trade of some kind....

Probably. As Vanderbilt_Grad said, where there is smoke, there's usually fire.
I don't know why they seem so intent on trading him, but it definitely looks like they are trying to move him.

If only.
It appears even Crash thinks he's being traded according to Devlin, but I voted no. I think LB kept Jordan from trading him this past summer and I think he'll want to keep him now.
I'm worried tho.

I voted yes, but I don't think it will be for the garbage hes being offered up for. Eddy Curry (6 coaches decision-Do not play). A package WITH Andrea Bargnani wouldn't be so bad. Boozer would be great.

Absolutely will be traded. LB likes smart quick thinking players who pass the ball. Crash is dumber than a box of rocks and holds the ball too long.

I think he'll be traded. And I think we'll be pleasantly surprised at the deal in that we'll say "That was a pretty fair deal for us." I think LB and MJ will drive a hard bargain for Crash. Why "yes"?
1. Like others said, too much smoke = fire
2. It's starting to get into Crash's head.
3. I think LB wants to mold this team into "his" team with "his" players, so he wants to change things up a bit so it is clearly a "LB team". Not from an ego point of view, but from a comfort point of view.
4. The team as constituted is not good. We need major help, and Crash is the one who can bring the highest price. And we have some depth at SF with Dudley and Ammo both being able to provide valuable minutes. As long as we get a really good upgrade at PF, they will provide enough punch to make the trade very beneficial for us even in Crash's absence.

I haven't heard nothing on the cavs front about Wallace but we have a rumor on ourside that we are talking to a team about Varejao, don't know what team though. I think Wallace would help the cavs perimeter defense and would be sick on fast breaks with Mo Will and Bron. My only concern is his health/length of contract. And i like Varejao alot, not a lot of bigs out there that play with his energy/heart off the bench plus he has an improved offensive game. He is very valuable to our team, but when i heard the rumor i quickly thought Bobcats. But i know he can't be traded to you guys for like another month so who knows....

though many portland fans think we're giving up way too much, I (as a Portland fan) still love the thought of Blake/Frye/Outlaw for Crash...
it's not just that I like him though, while I think his aggressiveness would help our team's demeanor, it also opens up time for Bayless, Webster, and Sergio while giving guys more consistent roles on our team. Nate would probably kill pritchard if he did this (those are three of his fave guys) but they'd all fit well into a Larry Brown system and give you guys a ton more depth with a lot of cap flexibility. Meanwhile, we have a minutes cram with two of our main guys out (Webster, Oden)...
us afterwards
Roy/Sergio
Bayless/Fernandez (with fernandez playing bulk)
Webster/Wallace/Batum
Aldridge/Wallace
Oden/Pryzbilla
(still a very solid 9 man rotation, with spot minutes for Batum)
how do you guys feel about Wallace as a 30 minute energizer off the bench at the 3/4? Our first unit is much more methodical but I think he'd do well in our up-tempo second unit that currently lacks defense in the backcourt. Our main guys (Sergio, Rudy) are much better in zone, how does Wallace do in a zone? Does that enable him to roam better?
