Hey guys, poster from the Bulls/trade forum mostly. I am just curious what you guys' take is on how management is handling your team currently with the trade Crash rumors and the interest in Tinsley (most likely in place of Felton, right?)

To me it seems like they're losing their minds, but I didn't know if you guys had some extra information that linked it all together.

Ok guys, I just posted on the Tinsley thread on how I fell Bobcats management has screwed up our drafts since 2005. We are now on our third coach and fired or layed off half the employees. No half time shows, 25% attendance and Bob is hurting big time in the wallet. Magoo is frustrated and yelling at players on the sideline and the only postive is the Cheerleaders look better than ever.

Its time to break down the team postion by postion and make trades so the season is not lost.
Point-- if you like dj keep him . sign Tinsley to start and trade Felton to Toronto for Solomon and Graham adding another point and small forward dj backs up tinsley/3rd point solomon
2---trade Carroll/May to New Jersey for Williams and Hassell adding power forward and shooting guard
Start Richardson backup with hassell/ Brown
3-- trade Wallace on three way with NYK and San Antonio for Curry and Mahinmi add true center and another power forward then start Morrison rotate dudley / graham
4- start Williams and rotate with Okafore/ Mahinmi/ -- send Ajinicia to Dleague
5 start Curry and Rotate with Okafore/Nazr

Magoo--you want atheletes/ defense/ physical you got em Baby!
Bob --you want to save money and fill seats--You got em Baby!
MJ-=-= You want to go play golf --Now you can-
Now -just do it!

PG - We can get more for Felton and Toronto doesn't really need him. However, I agree if we sign Tinsley, Felton should be shipped.
SG - According to the rumor, we don't need to include May. I love Matty (well...my wife does), but for Williams and Hassell, you do it and don't look back.
SF - If we trade Wallace and end up with Curry, I'm going to vomit and picket outside the stadium.
PF - agreed on sending Frenchie to the D-league. He needs to play and he's not going to get the mins he needs in the big show. However, they won't send him down until we bring in some depth

I really don't think we'll sign Tinsley, I actually think our PG situation has been a bright spot this year. Bright is a relative term of course, but bright nonetheless.

As for the first question about management, we can criticize the drafts and coaches and trades (or lack there of) all we want but I really think the biggest gaff they made was arrogance towards the city. Ultimately you need to put a winning product on the court, but in the meantime, embrace the city don't feel entitled to their support. They really screwed the pooch on that front. I want to blame Bob the most, but I think MJ is the biggest reason the city hasn't embraced the team. I know he didn't want to be a sideshow but if he sucked it up and mingled a little, suites would've sold and fans would've come just for him. But alas, he didn't do it.

It's too late to do it this year, but Bob Johnson, if he is dedicated to keeping the team, needs to get in touch with the ownership of the Panthers and Hurricanes- Mr. Richardson and Mr. Karmanos and pick their brains a little bit. Both of those gentlemen have teams in our market, each has had to overcome varying degrees of problems putting fannies in the chairs.

By getting some contact with his North Carolina owner peers, Bob( or M.J. or Higgins) might get a fresh perspective on how to attack the problems that the Bobcats now face. Like BJ, Peter Karmanos is an abesntee owner. But he has good management in place, and several years ago instituted a "Contract" with the fans that really improved attendance at the RBC Center.

Bottom line is- right now the Bobcats' management is bankrupt of ideas. They need to steal ideas (the non-patented type of ideas) from people who have been successful if they want to be a success. If selling the team is the name of the game, BJ needs to get his feelers out there. But he needs to get them to potential ownership(s) which will keep the team in Charlotte. NONE of this moving crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got It????????????????????????

If Wallace gets traded for something of need AND a decent player, then I'm all for it. Rumors happen and winning slows that down.

Tinsley, i'm fine with him if he becomes a Bobcat after a buyout. Besides the reporter that came up with this one is not exactly the most accurate guy in the world.

Now my opinion of management. This team needs Jordan and Johnson to show more interest in their team. Rod Higgins, the GM, just needs time....that and Larry Brown to not be "knick-larry".

What this team needs to be is more active. go to http://hoopshype.com/general_managers/rod_higgins.htm and look at what this team did in 07-08. You eliminate the preseason signings "October 1st: resigned Derek Anderson, signed CJ Watson, Gabe Muoneke, Jameel Watkins, etc" This team really didn't do anything.
The "keepers" on the roster that year included guys like; well Derek Anderson, Othella Harrington, and Jeff McInnis.

32-50 and the team makes 3 WHOLE Moves (cutting Jeff, signing Earl Boykins, and the Nazr trade) with one misfire (signing of Varejao). Other then Isiah Thomas getting his hands tied with the Knicks, a 32 win team usually makes more inseason moves then that.
