Who else is nervous about Larry Brown?

He doesn't like most of the players and has said that six players may not be here long. He is pressuring the front office to bring in his type of players which could result in a disaster.
Another thing, how are these player suppose to play hard for coach knowing that most of them are on the trading block because he doesn't like them?

Well, 2 of the 6 were already axed by the time that comment came out I believe, but no, LB doesn't make me nervous. The Bobcats currently have no plan for the future or present and have a collection of talent that doesn't compliment itself. I trust the LB knows what to do better than us, and if not it'll mean disastrous results that will yield high draft picks.

Yeah, what's there to be nervous about?
What's going so incredibly well that LB might screw it up?

What Walt said.

I trust LB, he's won just about everywhere he's been. Typically you don't see the full impact of the results till the following year though. I don't think any coach could come in here, flip a switch, and turn them into a 40+ win team the way it's constructed now and he probably realizes that too. So he's going to do whatever he can to make the team better if that means exchanging parts in and out.

I am very scared! I think the game has past him bye. He left Phiily pathetic, put the Knicks back at least 5 years and we are seeing what he is doing here. The only recent job he didn't screw up was Detroit (except waisting the #2 pick, but that was not his fault) and that was only because he left before he had the chance to screw them up. This team needs to play uptempo (aka the old Suns) playing defensive half court slow down the game and only shoot when you are wide open basketball does not work here or in todays NBA. Our weekness show in that system.

I'm so tired of hearing all this LB bashing. He took the Sixers as far as he could(finals) with one of the leagues most selfish players(Iverson). The Knicks was not his doing(Isiah Thomas) and was a power play between the two. Isiah wanted to build a fantasy team and LB wants "his" players. This system will work and does with the right players. Give it time, we are only a month into the season.

The Knicks were LB's fault really? I'm looking very closely to make sure I'm not missing the sarcasm, I believe you were being serious...
You don't think Isaiah giving out the MLE to anyone who wandered in off the street might have had something to do with it?
And slowing it down doesn't work in today's NBA? Somebody better tell The Spurs before they have to play a fast-paced team like your Suns in the playoffs...
As for Philly, he took them to the finals with exactly one good offensive player, I can only hope he leaves us so "pathetic,"
There is a reason he is in the hall of fame...they don't just give that away to anybody like Isiah and the MLE.

As soon as someone says the Knicks were LB's fault, their opinion on the subject loses credibility with me.

Absolutely have faith in Brown. Its MJ/BJ/RH that scare me.
Larry wants a Starting power forward.
Trade carroll or wallace for one.
Wallace/Hollins to Toronto for Burgani/ Graham
Carroll to LA Clippers for Camby/ 1st 2009
OR
Whatever Larry wants to do?

Remember this? Yes larry most of these guys are players you requested. If they are stupid, then its your own fault you wanted them in the first place..
I brought this thread back up because I think the FO is about to make the same kind of mistake by allowing some stupid trades to placate LB again.

It does not matter if he's a HoF coach. His way of coaching is outdated and you are not going to win in this league if you refuse to let your players to shoot from outside, or better, let players shoot who plain suck. But most importantly, the way he treats players is inexcusable if he's not happy with them.
I don't care who he is/who he was, I want him gone.

I am hopping on Fred's bandwagon.
I want him gone too. Playing Mcguire in front of Brown is just unbearable. I couldn't watch us play last night, I turned onto washington-knicks game :p

This post from two years ago is on the money.

I agree that LB is not adapting to the game any longer.
He's certainly a Hall Of Fame coach, and deserves it.
Still, great coaches can fall from grace. LB whines about how the 3pt shot has ruined the game. Well, GET OVER IT! Rather than adapt a team to it's natural strengths LB grabs parts and throws away pieces to emulate stuff done YEARS ago. I don't doubt he's a master teacher (which is what he likes doing) but he's a poor bench coach (which is something he abhors doing). He didn't want to be here, is serving out of a felling of obligation to MJ, and is MISERABLE.
He needs to go home.

I think that we are at the point where his weaknesses are overshadowing his strengths. It's time for him to go.

Good point Vandy.
I know I have been critical of LB since the summer with the crap he was pulling then and now with his short comings being so glaringly evident, but I do appreciate the respectability and energy he brought to the franchise - especially last season.
After Vincent we were a mess, and LB was THE perfect guy to bring in at that time and he did a good job then.
