Don't make me use the nuclear option and vote.

We were -26 with Bell on the court.

I mean seriously are you kidding me,we are making a run and you take out our leading scorer(Gforce) and leave in someone who in 17mins of play hasnt made a damn bucket. I love the hustle and never say die attitude that the team displayed coming back from down 29,but when you take out the person that is the leader of your team, the person showing the most hustle and dont put him back in at all, what kind of coaching is that. Unless im missing something was gforce hurt or something, cause if he wasnt that has to be the worst managing at the end of the game i have ever seen.LB open your eyes, clear the fog off them glasses, cause i dont understand what you are seein in ammo, but he is not producing stop giving him all these mins. You are killing me im gonna have to go and buy another tv if i see ammo and caroll in together, they are giving us no offense no defense and you can clearly see that they are not producing.

Gold- Gforce enough said
Silver- OKafor double-double(why was he on the bench at the end of the game also)
Bronze- I would like to sat its a tie between dj and diaw so i will.

The guys who closed it out were the guys who brought us back...LB was rewarding that.

Mek is going to love Diaw. He had 5 assists (most on the team) and most of them was to Mek weren't they? Also 9 boards (in 27 minutes) with 4 offensve I thought was pretty decent.

DJ looked good in the 2nd half. I thought his D was a lot better tonight than against the Mavs.

Gold: Crash - playing in the wake of 2 family deaths with a heavy heart, and still knocks down 22 pts and 9 reb. That is GOLD.

Silver: DJ - This kid is very special. In the end, he will prove to be far better than most of the other 8 drafted ahead of him, excluding Rose.

Ray: Fighting tooth and nail to hold onto the starting job. DJ is pushing him hard , and causing Ray to elevate his game.

Honorable Mention to Diaw and Okafor.

3 - hollins - +20, nuff said. his energy changed the game.
2 - wallace - when he finally woke up, he actually played 10, or so, fantastic minutes, which is more than i can say about most.
1 - dj - it was tough between felton and dj. felton had more great plays but also more WTF moments. dj was fairly solid all game.

i'm disappointed that nobody else recognizes the impact hollins had on that game last night. sometimes the boxscore doesnt tell the whole story. hollins was absolutely fantastic in the 4th. his defense and energy made a huge difference in that comeback.

I think most recognize what he brought when he was on, and it wasn't his fault that LB only played him for a 1/16th of the game, but I thought others did more for longer (based more on opportunities I guess?)

i guess i just consider the first 3 quarters a complete abortion, with nobody doing anything worthy of hammer consideration, so my hammer votes are soley based on the 4th quarter. fair? who knows. of course i am biased about hollins (and probably everything). i sit next to the biggest hollins fan on the planet, so when hollins ties his shoes, he gets a standing ovation from my wife.

Is this the most bizarre hammers vote on record? 3 different gold votes, 8 different nominees...

Hollins was the king of +/- (+20!!), followed by DJ and... Ammo? Meanwhile Wallace had a great game (and only -5) after the death of his father, and Okafor put up a double double with no turnovers and it's not as if Sheed did anything on offense.

3 - Crash... look back at the play-by-play, guys. He scored 9 points in 3 minutes while the game went from 22 to 11. Add in 9 rebounds, 3 steals, a block, and the circumstances?
2 - DJ... the only other guy with an argument for gold. A lot of +/- here, mostly because he scored 13 points in the final 15 minutes.
1 - Felton... the third part of the rally, scoring 8 points in the final 8:00 and tipping back in his only miss. Also 3 rebounds in the final part of the game.
HM Hollins... Fats' argument is pretty persuasive, but I just don't know if anyone can earn a hammer with 9 minutes and 4 points.

Well, I agree it would be better to not have hammers after this game. I have to go with those who were surprisingly good.

Gold - Hollins (btw hopw many of us wanted to waive him over Davidson?)
Silver - DJ (Ham's right now even for a Wade and first)
Bronez - Felton (I guess we should keep him after all)

HM - Crash - not only for being the lightstarter but for off court madness too (I should give him some vote but i can't resist to use a chance to get Hollins and Felton hammers' votes when they actually deserves)

Gold - Hollins
Silver - DJ
Bronze - Felton

It's too bad we gave SO much up in the 1st 3 quarters. If we just kept it within 10 by half time we could've had a legit chance. I have no doubt we'll see more trades this week or next.

-/+ is a tricky thing to go by though. What if you are playing really, really well but the 4 guys on the court with you at the same time are sucking badly and can't do a thing, turn the ball over, missing shots, playing really shoddy D and giving up point after point. That will effect your -/+ in a negative way but doesn't truly reflect your own play.

true. ammo had +16 and did nothing to affect the outcome of the game. but my eyeballs tell me hollins had a major impact on the game and his +20 confirms as much. just as my eyeballs tell me raja bell played like garbage and his -26 also confirms as much. its not a stand alone stat.

No question... Ammo is basically the perfect example, being on the court during a run means high +/- even if you do nothing. Nonetheless, my and several others' hammers basically reflect the credit for the run.
