Man, if Rose doesn't get the 10 speed, who does? Also, how sad is it when Drew Gooden is your #2 player? Is it worse that I think we're going to lose? Is this the game we start to turn it around? Can Bell finally look like he isn't the worst player in the NBA? Will I ever stop talking in questions?

There was a time when NBA live player ratings were very important to me. And when I gave a player a 100 I always thought it had to be the best/most of that particular attribute EVER. If we define "speed" as racing baseline to baseline, I would bet on a few guys (not many) to beat rose. Barbosa and Devin Harris come to mind. Now if we are talking "First Step," that's another matter.

Btw, best part of the NBA jam threads is an excuse to talk about something other than the games, which have been pretty depressing so far...

Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, I predict a loss...

I think we have a chance to win this game and possibly reverse this losing funk we're in with a string of wins at Memphis and against Golden State & Washington. I have to admit though, I'm scared to see DJ going up against Rose again hahaha

Two games warrants "finally"? Alrighty then. I'd never know you were a Bobcats' fan from that statement; just dragging himself onto the court puts Bell better than some we've had on the roster.

If Crash can't play then I don't have very high hopes unless Diaw can duplicate what he did last night (which theoretically he should...their bigs aren't nothing to write home about). If Mek also has a big game (and he should for the same reason) then maybe we get the win.

Rose is damn good and I've had a lot of fun watching him. Of course that was against other teams...doubt I'll feel that way tonight.

Just to confirm, this game isn't televised ANYWHERE, right?

Oh, weird. Steve Martin was talking about how they weren't broadcasting it and I didn't see it on WGN... are you guys saying that it's being broadcast by like FSNBULLS? It'd be awesome to have a nice and active gt for a change.

Yes we will get the Bulls feed. You've never watched the away teams feed on League Pass? This is like the fourth time already this season the game is not televised by the Cats but we gets the LP feed of the away team.

e4: while I don't have the same philosophy about my videogame ratings (I think of 100 as "best in the NBA" not "best of all time"), with NBA Jam, where there's only 10, I think Rose definitely qualifies. Heck, Wallace gets a 9!

Spectre: You're right, he's not the worst player in the NBA; we know what that looks like, his name was Jeff.

Bell is, however, #62 of 74 SGs, so merely a very bad backup SG, or really good 3rd-stringer. The bottom line is he's below replacement-level right now, and it's not as if he's bringing the D anymore. He was bad in Phoenix this year too, so it's not as if I'm basing it only on these 2 games (though they were unmitigated disasters). The reality is that he can do nothing except play man defense and shoot 3s, and when you're missing the latter and the former is fading....

Also, just dragging yourself on the court doesn't win you any prizes... he's worse than Carroll, worse than Felton at SG, and probably just shouldn't play much. I went back and looked, too... the list of players who had over 250 minutes at Bell's level of production (8.5 PER):
Jeff McInnis
Adam Morrison
Kevin Burleson
Theron Smith

...inspiring, no?

The tail end of back to back games has never been good to us. This may not be pretty. I hope they can pull this one out against a mediocre Chicago team. We need it.

I don't care about Derrick Rose's stats. For real.

Steve... you wound me. What is left for us as fans but to argue NBA Jam stats?

The different situation in Phoenix this year in which he complained couldn't have had any effect on his drop in production? So far as PER, Bruce Bowen has never had a PER over 9.6 in his career, yet he still isn't the worst player in the NBA is he?

Maybe he has lost it; I've not ever followed Phoenix. Still, if he plays even average defense he'll be better than Hammer. Either way, I'm willing to give him at least a week or two to see if he can do something with our team. I seem to remember being told Derek Anderson was a waste of oxygen too.

I watched the Magic when they only won 21 games. And it was because J-Howard was on the team. He's a dark cloud where ever he goes. Were doomed.
