Most valuable tradable Bobcat
This is just a crazy idea I'm throwing out there, but Felton seems to be the easy choice for the Bobcats to shop considering his contract status and the upside of DJ. But what is DJ's value? If the Blazers offered us Brandon Roy for DJ and Bell we would have to do it right?
What about Okafor? I personally wouldn't really want to trade him or DJ, but a few weeks ago I considered J-Rich our one untouchable guy and we deal him for Diaw and Bell. There's a possibility we could see some serious trades involving someone l ike DJ or Okafor who I bet a lot of teams covet.

Re: Most valuable tradable Bobcat
I would at least hesitate a little bit before I did Okafor for Roy, but I agree, he's better than anyone on our team.
I don't know if DJ has much value around the league yet... the Bobcats don't get any attention, and it's not as if he's putting up crazy all-star numbers, but he probably should be valuable. Okafor does, but since he's locked up for a long time I don't know how many teams would blow their flexibility to get him. Certainly nobody's giving us a young stud for him, he'd be a piece to complete a team, not rebuild one.

I was a huge fan of Roy all through the college season... watched him rise from 2nd rounder to top 10. I thought he'd be more of a conventional 2-guard though, i.e., a better shooter but a worse passer than he turned out to be.
Though I actually wanted Gay more than Roy at the time, I think...

I don't think we should make anymore trades right now, unless we are trading for 2010 to dump salary or we are targeting other teams looking to dump salary for talent and 1st rd picks.
right now!
Felton: a decent starting PG or an excellent backup PG. bonus, expiring contract
Package, Felton and Sean May: $6.7 million expiring contract
2010 special starting this offseason
package, Raja Bell and Adam Morrison: $10.5 million expiring contract

I think Felton may have more value than his expiring contract.

Re: Most valuable tradable Bobcat
Its pretty crazy that you guys think DJ could possibly net Roy or Okufor could to. The Blazers aren't trading him.
It's not the players so much with the Bobcats as it is with management. The horrible draft choices of guys like May, Morrison and even Felton at 5 who I like but come on #5?
We need to get something good for Felton and not trade Wallace or get something good for him to.

I believe that was just an example and not intended as a real proposal.

Felton wasn´t a mistake,but,May at 13? Instead of Granger or Lee?Come on

I would trade Raymond,I like how he plays,but...if a Randolph+Wright/Sguard is available from GS,I´d do it in a heartbeat.

Felton obviously was a mistake as was May. They could have had Lee and Granger instead of those 2 guys. Okufor, Lee, Granger. Do you know how good that would have been?
Plus Adam Morrison was really really bad and who didn't see that one coming. Luckily they didn't trade for JJ Reddick to.

What would it require for a Okafor to Utah trade to happen?

I've read the forums daily for the last few years, and am an avid Jazz fan, but am not a sports expert and therefore never felt entitled to post.

You're crazy!! No one is an expert. You should post when ever you feel like it! I just think that after a year, it's ace that you posted on this board 1st!!
As far as your interest in Okafor goes - I think it would be hard to pry him away from us with what you guys have and would be willing to give up.
But what do I know? Have your front office people put something shiny on a string and dangle it in front of our front office people on a sunny day so it looks really pretty. That would be enough distraction to fleece them in any sort of trade you wanted!!
I'd LOVE to pair Boozer with Okafor - or maybe even Boozer with someone like Thabeet, but everything that Boozer has been saying these last two days is every reason I would be worried about trading for him.
