Lets be honest (How many want us to tank it)

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Sun Jan 4, 2009 5:09 pm

Seriously and don't lie to yourself or the board. Barring a big trade that brings us a margque player (not happening) how many of us kind of what them to lose as many as possible to try and get closer to having a serious shot at that #1 pick. \
A guy like Blake can truley turn us around.
A guy like Damion James will not.

I kind of wouldn't mind a tank job.

We are not halfway thru the season. And we are only 3.5 games out of the 8th seed. No way do we think about tanking it now. We just have to get Raja Bell back from his injury and we can get back to the game that won us 4 of 5.

No tanking - no how - no way - not ever. Play your best, and may the Ping Pong Ball Gods be kind to you if you are in the Lottery.

Why does that not surprise me?

Lets refer this decision to the pros.

What should we do with Dexmor Mr. Cricket Umpire?

This team is too good to tank it.

Plus, the reward isn't that great this year unless you get the number 1 spot IMO. The difference between 5-14 isn't that great.

True. And the difference between character/integrity and what the Knicks did is like night and day also. In the end, integrity and character have to count for something and somewhere down the line a team will be rewarded.

3.5 games out isn't so bad. Maybe they shouldn't tank it just yet but they need to come up with a trade soon. What about

Dalembert
Williams
Young

For

Wallace
Felton
May's expriring contract
Morrison?

How did this thread go from the OP wanting to tank games to the OP wanting to suggest a trade?

No, we shouldn't tank one week into January.

At the same time, if we are still sucking with only a few weeks left in the season.........I want to see a lot of Ajinca, Hollins, Singletary, etc.

I was going to write a few scathing comments on how ridiculous this is but given that teams like the Knicks are already playing for 2010, I guess its a fair, although insulting, question to ask.

Dex, you get on my nerves. Seriously.

You can quit. We won't think anymore less of you.

We have a chance to make it to the playoffs. Were not tanking.

yep, i also think that we can still make it to the playoffs.
we already proved that we can beat teams like miami, NJ and the bucks (6th,7th&8th seed) and takeover one of the last 3 playoff seeds.

and i don't care if we should get murdered in the first round, because we would prove that we can contribute in the east.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english :P

Tanking proves that you anger the ping pong ball gods..

History has shown that when teams tank, for some reason they never get the top pick.

Look at Boston during the Tim Duncan draft. Miserable record and tanked to get Duncan, ended up with Billups at 3.

2007 was tank-city.. Milwaukee, Memphis, T-Wolves and Boston all openly tanked towards the end. By an act of god (or maybe act-of-stern) Portland came from no where to jag Oden, and Seatlle moved up to take Durant.

Last year, we all know about the muppets from Chicago moving up from 9 to land the No 1.

Tanking doesn't pay..

Listen I want them to win to. If I didn't I wouldn't be here or watch the games but part of me looks at the draft and if you guys say you don't if there is a part of you that don't I have a hard time believeing that.
And Steve Morrison I don't care if I get on your nerves because it makes it fair. You get on my nerves so bad. Any true Bobcats fans that knows anything about basketball knows one if our worst mistake in franchise history was drafting Adam Morrison and it should be painful to true bobcats to see his face yet you have his pick and his name everytime you post.

Wanting to get the chance to draft a certain prospect is a lot different than tanking the season in hopes of getting the #1 pick. Substantial difference.

I want us to make the playoffs. Objectively I don't see it happening barring a supertrade.
With that said when it is obvious were not gonna there is gonna part of you that has a little relief after losses that were that much closer.
And yes the worst team hasn't won but it doesn't change the fact that the odds are the worst record the better shot you get.

Dexmor im a true bobcats fan,no way hell would i ever want to tank a season.I play semi-pro football now and dats like my coach walking into the locker room and saying , he fellas i want you to lose all these games so another team can win the national championship, and we can hope to sign the top free agent onto our squad. I know what you are, your like a duke fan thats claims he's a die hard duke fan,but still attends tar heels games trying to sabotage our system. Im noticing like most other people you keep trying to trade gforce, and not only that, what you have us getting back is straight garbage. A real bobcats fan wouldnt want to tank the season, well a bobcats fan with a (PAIR) wouldnt want to tank the season,im not gonna say you get on my nerves but real talk cuz, I question ya fan hood to this team.
