Jan 10th Hammers: Bobcats Vs Wizards

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Sun Jan 11, 2009 2:30 am

Image - Raja. Looked very comfortable all night taking his J and played a really good game over all 4 qtrs.

Image - Howard. You crafty old bugger!! Looked really, really good in the low post using spins and hitting shots.

Image - Ammo. I thought he looked really good, worked hard to create room for himself off the ball and knocked his shots down with confidence.

Highlight of the night: Felts checking back into the game when I was sure he was done for the night. He really does have a huge heart and is a warrior.

Gold - Raja. He looked really good tonight, and I think I might have underrated his passing ability. Not that he's razzle dazzle but more that he does seem to pass to an open man in the paint when he's open.

Silver - Boris. Kind of a quiet start, but huge in the 4th when LB went with the iso vs. Jamison. IMO that was the tipping point that helped us to grab the lead and hold it.

Bronze - Juwan. LOL...loving the old vet taking it to his old team!

HM to Felts (got to love his giving it all to get back and help the team) and to Shannon...his 8 minute stretch was very huge in our last comeback.

Great win!!!

Gold : Diaw (he was clutch in last quarter with 8 points and a decisive offensive rebound that gave Charlotte another 24 sec possession as the clock was iike 30 sec)

Silver : Bell (he was shooting well all night long)

Bronze : Okafor (good defense in the paint, he is getting better and better with diaw)

thank you guys ;)

I did not introduce myself, I am from France and been watching Us basketball for 20 years now.
I am following especially all french players (and we got very lucky lately with our bball players)
I am reading this board since Boris Diaw and Raja Bell joined the Cats and I must say that I am starting to love this team.
Hope to see the cats be in the playoffs and I hope that you will get to know Boris and his very special style of play.

Take care and will try to post a little more ;)

Heh, I basically could have written the exact same post to describe myself. Only difference is the "20 years" part.

Gold-Diaw gets it because he became a go to guy in the 4th

Silver-Bell 19 points and great defense and yes he is a very underrated passer

Bronze-Howard. Howard is 35 but he hasn't lost any athletism or quickness. He wasn't super athletic to begin with but it's easy to confuse his age with the fact that he always has a good year one year then a few bad ones. He should get more pt. If one of the starters had to miss 5 games or so he can easily start play 30 minutes and get 12-13 and 7.
He should be our first big man off the bench.

Gold - Diaw
Silver - Felton (we don't win the game without him, LB even says this)
Bronze - Howard (big time 4th quarter)

tough hammers tonight

gold - diaw
silver - bell
bronze - could go many ways here. juwon helped steady the team with his post play. ammo came in and made up for wallace's poor offense. shannon hit some MONSTER shots, but i have to give it to felton, who showed a ton of heart by coming back on that ankle. ray is a warrior.
